Minimum focusing distance is 1.5 feet. Try not to ask simple questions like this on the forums. It took me literally 30 seconds to look it up. I own the lens, but it was faster for me to find the information on the Canon website than to get up and look at it. It's not ideal to have the forums get cluttered with topics for questions that can easily be answered by a minute of searching the internet, drawing attention away from more in depth questions.
On a side note, 1.5 feet is a little far for brickfilming. The lens is certainly usable, but you're not going to get any close up shots.
