I could care less, but am looking forward to the discussion. mini/eh

Re: LEGO TMNT

Aw, you beat me to it. mini/tongue

I have to agree with you, I'm not looking forward to these at all.... Never watched the show, never read the comics, never wanted to, but I still think this is going to do well judging by the fact there's a new TV show coming out.

Just when I thought LEGO couldn't come up with any worse themes... (Cars, Toy Story, Ninjago, Monster Fighters, Ben 10...) mini/eh

Some of the minifigs remind me of Mega Bloks. mini/blankexpression  The only one that is even remotely good is the completely black one, who does admittedly look pretty cool.

I've been thinking the same think, the quality of LEGO's themes has been going down continuously over the last few years.

Re: LEGO TMNT

Oh, you kids can't appreciate the awesomeness of TMNT, particularly the classic 1987 and 2003 animated series.

Re: LEGO TMNT

Maybe they were awesome, but I never really had an interest in them, that's all. mini/tongue

Re: LEGO TMNT

I really don't care about ninja turtles because back when it actually showed on TV my parents wouldn't let me watch it and I haven't got around to watching reruns so all I know is that they have Italian Renaissance names. (do they have these on Netflix?)
But duuuude.
Turtles.
I <3 turtles!! mini/smile
These designs are really cool and I am actually looking forward to them.

Re: LEGO TMNT

I've watched TMNT movies 1 and 3 , but not 2 although they are pretty good , Give some credit to the shredder!  , If the turtles look like the ones from the next mutation i would defiantly buy them.

Re: LEGO TMNT

Wow... I was hoping that the rumor about this was just that. Sadly, it wasn't!

Re: LEGO TMNT

I'm not super-interested in TMNT, but I gotta say that I love everything here except for that hysterically bad Splinter minifig and the meh-inducing DogPound character I've never heard of. I would love it if I could get my hands on this particular fig.

"You kids"....

That's a bit patronizing.

False. Calling them embryos is patronizing mini/tongue

Obviously they're based on the newer TMNT series.  Guess we won't see Bebop or Rocksteady.

Calling someone an "embryo" isn't just patronizing, but also weird, not to mention untrue. mini/tongue

Anyway, I don't really see how political correctness/viral videos/pedestrian etiquette comes into this.  I'm not trying to be a "pansy" here, just wanted to point something out...

Oh, and for the record, I don't actually do any of those things you mentioned.  (I prefer mountain bikes to skateboards, and don't ride them on sidewalks... much. mini/shifty mini/tongue )

Better get back on topic.

Re: LEGO TMNT

Allow me to revive the thread , I think to my opinion that this theme would be obsolete by now but no. They had to make more kits in conjunction with the new Ninja turtles movie but i can't say "Teenage Mutant" for whatever reason because they don't look exactly like teenagers in the trailer but that's another story.
To my knowledge i think they may reuse the bricks and molds from the existing turtles lair into the new one

Even if you don't like the Moster Fighter series, it gave us great minifigures.

Re: LEGO TMNT

Frankly, I hate the fact that lego has been cluttering store shelves with themes that only die hard fans would buy. Get off the stupid tv shows and movies (with a few exceptions), and get back to the themes that everyone liked.

But as far as TMNT is concerned, it has never appealed to me in the slightest, and I have never had the desire to see them affiliated with lego.

Re: LEGO TMNT

Yes, no more sponge bob, no more TMNT and no more Lone Ranger, we need more Star Wars PREQUEL sets!!!!!

Quoted for truth.

Meh, I like both the Mega Bloks and the Lego versions.
Just haven't taken the plunge and bought any of the Lego the sets.
I have some of the Mega Blok sets, but not all of them.
