Picked myself up a DSLR, planning on making brickfilms again soon.
Yeah, me too. We'll see if I get to it though.
Drat. I intended to return briefly to see if there was an April Fools gag on BiM this year. Can someone enlighten me, or did I miss nothing?
Also hello it's been aaaaages.
EDIT: Also there hasn't been a 'Staff Favourite' brickfilm since 2010. This is saddening.

THAC 11.5 was hosted on April Fool's day, a few new Lego themes were announced and discussed, a few very high quality and inspiring films were released, and the rest of the totally serious and somber proceedings you'll just have to look up yourself. ![]()
And we're working on that, sorta. Smeagol and the other programmers, are totally revamping the review process and so there should be some nice improvements and updates coming to the whole "Staff reviews" and "featured films" type of categories. Just hang on and be patient.
Having a staff pick doesn't sound too hard, though.
Throughout the years there are several obviously really good brickfilms that would easily deserve such re-cognition such as Call of Farquanglu. They don't really need to be reviewed, reviews take some time, but just putting it as a staff pick could be nice.

That's a point I'm sure many of us have thought; there's no way in four years, a BiM staff member hasn't gone, "Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed this and wish to make others aware of its high quality!"
And we're working on that, sorta.
Awesome, I look forward to that. I kind of get the feeling that I've missed a few gems because I'm too lazy to trawl through the films being released, but I check the Staff Favourites fairly consistently to see if there have been any updates.
That's a good note on the Staff Picks; initially I thought we had to put a review in to make a film a Reviewer Favorite, but I just tested it with an empty form and it worked. If anyone with review permissions wants to add their favorite films that are in the directory, feel free. I've thrown up Henri And Edmond and will probably add a few more when I get the chance.
Hope you have a fantastic birthday, JK! ![]()
happy birthday or something jk
Heh. It was my birthday yesterday too. I spent the entire day hitting people with my walking stick whenever they congratulated me on managing to stay on this planet for two whole decades without getting bored and leaving.
I hope it was your stun cane. You can't be too careful when the grand-kids start getting roundy!
That'll teach lil' Jimmy to mess with me when I'm eatin' ma daily mints! Christ, I fought the Viet Cong and the Nazi's AT THE SAME TIME. Does this slack-off think he can get up in this bizniss.
Happy birthday.

Just Kiddens birthday is an practically an unofficial BiM holiday, isn't it?
We should make it like September fest or something.

Except JK's birthday happens every year...unlike Septemberfest.
