Topic: Guess who I met today?

Give up?

It was cool three years ago when I met fellow Italian Neil Cavuto from the Fox News Channel in 2011.  I have to tell that story someday.

It was tres cool meeting Seth Green's mom, which made my brother jealous for life!

And it was cool last summer meeting the real life Mark Manchester, a character in my Lego series.

But today was a real thrill!  I was visited by the granddaughter of Godtfred Kirk Christiansen, the inventor of the Lego brick!  After fawning ended (this is far more an honor meeting someone associated with making me and millions of other children joyful than any of the shallow "personalities" out of Hollywood), discussion went to Lego history, then the Primo line, pre-Lego bricks, and the archives in her native Denmark.  She wouldn't give her email address, but I gave mine, and they said they'd send a film of the first Lego brick being made... I hope she delivers!

Well, that's all I have to say about that!  After all, what more can be said or done after this?

I met slender man once! But only once.

The guy who got banned more times than DiCaprio said "f***" in The Wolf Of Wall Street.

Re: Guess who I met today?

"I was visited" actually means, I stalked her and tried to find the right time to naturally bump into her and shove a Holding Our Own card in her pocket. mini/tongue

Re: Guess who I met today?

I wish in Australia opportunities like that were achievable. But, we don't even have any LEGO stores over here.

It makes it even better that everything that is LEGO related happens in Sydney and Melbourne, and I'm 5 hours plane ride away in Perth.

Funny. But she came to me and I didn't know who she was until she identified herself.

Re: Guess who I met today?

I met Rockydude411Bricks.

And then became him.

Now I shall become you.

In all seriousness guys, perhaps we should keep sass to a minimum. Holding, it's amazing that you met someone who's such a big part of LEGO, and I'm sure it was a great experience. Ashamed to say I've never heard of the Primo line...

I don't know if it counts, but my friend's dad produced Crimewatch, Watchdog and I think The One Show for a while. That last one is kinda' big here in the UK. Outside of the people I know who work at VFX studios, that's my only tenuous link to someone famous.

@Brickelodeon I'm so jelly you met Slenderman. Well, apart from the slender-sickness. I'm not jealous of that. Like, at all.

That's cool, but why did she come to you? Did she know who you were or, what?

Re: Guess who I met today?

Rockydude: No.  I work at a toy store.  Jampot: Primo is a precursor to the Duplo line.  Only people from the 1970s remember it.

Re: Guess who I met today?

Haha good ol' Primo. I've actually heard of it, and seen some of it in real life.
