I was posting this topic to tell that the world that the bar with all the options (index,inbox, chat, ect.) shows up on ie 8 that I just downloaded, but when I started this new topic, the format got jacked up, so I had to switch to the old ie to post a new topic. (luckily that can be done with the click of a button.) Anyway, Smeagol may need to re-format the "new topic" page. Oh well. ie 8 is awsome!
There are a lot of issues with IE 7 and 8 compatibility. They don't interpret code in a well-standardized way like most other browsers, so it presents something of a challenge. Fixing these compatibility issues is a priority that we'll address once the more essential functions of the site have been taken care of.
Browsing the film directory will be fully IE compatible on release, currently there is a large JavaScript bug on IE in the directory submission, however I hope to fix that or at least offer some kind of work around for IE users, it may not end up looking quite as pretty for IE users (but I guess that is the price they pay for using the worst browser possible)
