Topic: Masking in Dragonframe?

If anyone uses it, can you mask in Dragonframe? I'm trying to make a minifigure jump, and I understand the technique, but am unsure if Dragonframe lets you do it. If not, can I import pictures into Dragonframe? I can't seem to find an import pictures in the program.

Re: Masking in Dragonframe?

Dragonframe is not an editor. Use Dragonframe to capture your frames and animate. Masking, and other things like that are better done in a program such as After Effects. Don't have After Effects? Do your masking/effects editing in Photoshop or GIMP.

How would I animate my edited frames? Can I import them back into Dragonframe after editing them?

Re: Masking in Dragonframe?

If DragonFrame can import stuff, then yes.
You can also import the whole batch of pictures as an image sequence in most any video editor.
Then, you can either edit them like that, or export them into a video file and then mess with it was a normal clip.

Re: Masking in Dragonframe?

Yep, as Pritchard said.

Your process would go like this:

1) Animate your scene in Dragonframe.
2) Edit (mask, apply effects, etc) each frame individually in After Effects or Photoshop.
3) Import the image sequence into your video editor of choice.

You can play around with reimporting frames into Dragon once you've edited them but personally I find this to be more trouble than it's worth.
