Okay, I'm going to judge soon. I've got entries from:
brickelodeon
slurping animations
baker animator
clonecam
jampot
megagill74
PlainBrickProductions
Tell me if I'm missing anyone ![]()
Alright guys, these are the results ![]()
1st place: Clonecam Studios
This was really well done, first of all the camera quality and sound was good but it was also very close to the original theme. The main reason it one of course was because they running and the flip was well animated- I felt you had grasped the physics of the movement the best ![]()
2nd place: Gilbert Studios
This entry was very almost first place. The animation was nice and smooth- the reason you didn't get first place was I thought your flips were a little fast and might have needed a little crouching before the jump to make it more realistic, however- it was a great entry ![]()
3rd place: Jared Nesbit
I award this to you for your first entry, because the preparation for the jump was very well animated and the flip looked very realistic in its speed. Well done!
The rest of the results I have commented on- not placed, I hope you can take something from what I say.
Matthew McGuigan: This almost made the top three, as it was quite a cool bit of animation, and although I appreaciate that the flip wasn't too fast, I think it could have been a little faster.
Jampot Studios: The animation was decent and smooth and could have made the top three. It's just that it was a little quick, maybe if the flip was slowed down a little with a crouch before the jump for momentum.
Baker Animator: This wasn't bad, the flipping animation was decent, but you might want to bump up your frame rate a little ![]()
And last but definitely not least: PlainBrickProductions: I can see that you put the most effort into your entry and overall it was probably the most entertaining. The animation was smooth, but maybe a little fast on the flip- great entry though.
Anyway, congratulations guys, all the entries were great, and well done especially to Clonecam!
(Btw, tell me if I've missed anyone- I will add you to the scores immediately).
Thanks for the feedback! I have taken into account on what to improve on.
Remeber, more frames in a second = smoother animation.
Remeber, more frames in a second = smoother animation.
When combined with easing in and easing out.
Thanks MrMingle! And congratulations to Clonecam. ![]()
3rd... Again... ![]()
Zero Gravity Environment
I really do like Carroll's idea.
Zero Gravity Environment
That would be fun ![]()
Sadly I didn't win, so I can't choose the theme. Oh well, so sad.
So here is my video that I'm animating at the moment #Don'tSteal
A guy starts walking, THEN, all of a sudden, gravity is turned off, everything starts to float up. Then gravity kicks back in, the only person on screen is then dropped to the ground; he gets up and goes on his merry way like nothing happened. But what's this, the gravit has turned off again!!! He floats up and is all scared and nervous. He then falls back to the ground along with all the other objects in the background/around him. Now...Now he's scared, he tries to run but it's no use. He starts to float up as he's running.
I'm not going to tell the ending since I like to add my little spice of "CarrollFilms" to it, and make it a surprise.
On second thought, maybe 0 gravity would be a bad idea since Carroll has had more time to work on his entree. I really don't care though.
OH, I'm doing this all tonight since I work 3 days a week along with 5 days of school. 10 days would be plenty of time for you guys to animate and edit.
Thanks Guys!
I do agree that Carroll's idea would be fun!
Zero Gravity Enviroment
Deadline: February 12th
Totes mah goats I'm entering.
Dang, I don't think I can join. ![]()
Zero-G rig made, animation starting later today - so pumped for this one!
EDIT: Here's my entry! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7YnWEhox2Y
I'm not entirely sure what the story in this is, but I think they're all trying to get the suit to help them put the gravity back on. Yeah, that sounds legit.
Can we do more than one entry? Since there's still ages until Feb 12th, I might give it another go (assuming the rules allow it).
