You too? Did your computer keep telling you that your account had been suspended? Well, I've been having the same problem, Rockydude. I haven't been able to login to the site all weekend because of this sort of issue!

That is what happened to me!
Oh, thanks for that.
It's past November 10th and nobody has joined. ![]()
My entry is almost done.
Rockydude411Bricks, don't let it get you down. But, now that we're moving into the school year, most people can't find the time to make a film and enter it. You know what I'm saying?

Alright.
My entry is almost done.
Deadline extended to the 18th.
Nevermind.

I don't want to sound rude but can you please change the challenge to something with a lot less set building? It's just really hard to create something where you have to copy the movement of a REAL person. I'm sorry but this is just a hard challenge. Plus people don't have that much time to make an entry because of school and that kind of stuff. This is just my opinion so yeah ![]()
I think coolcubestudio is right. Can't you think of a simpler theme?
Dude! Can I just say that I was so happy to see that this thread was still going after two years of being away? YOU MUST KEEP IT ALIVE! I'm way behind on this, but how long have you been giving to complete entries lately? I think recreating a movie fight scene is a cool idea, but it would take quite a bit of time.
That's not necessarily a bad thing though. The first challenge that we ever did went on for over 3 months! It just depends on what format you want the contest to take. Do you want short entries more often, or longer entries less often? There are pros and cons to both. I don't claim to have a solution, I just think this thread is too good to let die!

Likewise. I'm leaving too soon to start an entire project, but maybe I can roll out a short challenge before I leave.

Alright, The new deadline is December 27. If I don't get any entries by then I will change the theme.
Just a thought, but could we have more than one contest running simultaneously? We could have a bunch of shorter challenges for people who don't have a lot of time to participate in, plus a longer, more involved challenge (like the current one) for people who really want to sink their teeth into something. The challenges can run side-by-side, that way, people can choose which one they want to participate in. However, I'm not sure there would be enough demand if we split it this way.
Incidentally, by "Movie fight scene", are we talking about replicating said scene as accurately as possible, or giving our own interpretation?

Sounds interesting, Fancypants will have to agree though, this is his thread.
Also, it could be both.
Honestly, you don't need to make the deadline as far as the tail end of December. Why not just to the first week of December?

I think if you're going to have a more difficult challenge that will take a lot of time, it's important to know that there are people actually interested in attempting it or else there's no point. Although I think the theme is a cool idea, it doesn't seem like there's many people interested in going for it.
That's just my opinion though. I may have started this thread but I don't claim any ownership over it. You guys can do what you want with it ![]()
