Topic: "Welcome to the Neighborhood" (Short comedy film)

Here Is a short film I made with a friend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6WKkANtHAs

This was written/directed/filmed/edited by me. I also play the Neighborhood watch guy.  I never have posted here before, but a lot of work went into this, so I figured "Why not?". Enjoy mini/smile

Wow, that was a good one! I thought the jokes were pretty well done ( mini/lol MISTER FISHY), even if there might have been one pony joke too many. The acting was great too.

Awesome job, Noah! You really should do more live-action stuff.

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

I am horrified.

Actually, I agree. They were not in the script, we just ad-libed them when shooting for short little gags. They certainly started to add up, but I would say that it makes since because the character is supposed to be a fan of the show.

Anyways, thanks a bunch mickey! And yes, I do plan on making more live-action stuff as well as brickfilms. mini/smile

That was fun to watch mini/lol (my only problem with it is that Randy Steel and Jerry are the same person)

Thanks!

Actually, this is the prologue for a new series about those two characters at the end. I basically play all the characters in the series. Of course, the least I could do is get some fake moustaches, wigs, and disgues. I don't want it to make it look TOO much like the world is infested with clones.

And don't forget that roommate of Jerry's, the one who got hit in the face with the keys.

I enjoyed it,  May I ask what equipment you used to make this?i

Re: "Welcome to the Neighborhood" (Short comedy film)

That was hilarious! Good job!

I read all I could see of the "HOUSE BUYING CONTRACT THINGY".

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Thanks!

I filmed this with some $20 tripod and a Canon T3. The Cannon T3 has no place to plug in an external shotgun mic, so the sound quality is pretty bad. I edited this with "Adobe Premiere Pro CC"

Re: "Welcome to the Neighborhood" (Short comedy film)

I guess for a Mic, you could use a portable Mic plug in, then have someone hold the boom Mic,  or,  angle the stand so no one has to hold it. I use a T3  as well, have never used it for live- action, but I was thinking a portable Mic box might help.

When I first posted that comment I thought the roommate was Randy.

YEah.  I was going to type about all the pony jokes.  Other than that, very funny.  There was a lot of varience in sound levels, theme music for characters were kinda loud.  But overall, very funny and a pleasure to watch.  I noticed a Lego Dino on a shelf, and some Looney Tunes art.  (I'm a fan of the classic Warner Bros period, 1929 to 1969.)  Thee were some other details I forgot that I wante to mention.  The contract was a code?  Or is it a cipher?  Looks more like a cipher.  I'll have to pause & look more closely.

Thanks!

As far as the sound goes, I know what you mean. Half of it was recorded with a cannon T3 built in mic, the other half with the blue snowball. I didn't do a very good job of trying to match up the volume levels in editing.

As far as those background details, that stuff is basically just there because we shot that sequence in my room, and what ever was sitting on the shelf at the time made it into the frame.

As far as the contract.... you will never decipher it. Ever. Period. Mwahahahah.
