I read an article in one of the toy trade publications, and there was a short interview w/ Lego. THey're introducing something new called Mixits (IIRC), and I'll provide more info as I seek it out.
The Brothers Brick had post about a new LEGO line called Mixels, which sounds like it could be the same thing.

I'm quite interested in them, the character on the left looks like it has some new micro ball joint pieces, which would be very useful for brickfilming. Also, the various pieces with "eye" printing could be useful for larger creatures.
MIXELS! I got the name wrong. Yeah. I didn't have the article on-hand at the time I posted, and I was going to re-read & type as I read the key info. At least they also said there'll be 20+ new Friends sets!
