Re: What was the last movie you watched?

'Twas an interesting one for me.

White House Down
I didn't expect too much from this film, but I found it enjoyable to watch and it kept me watching.
Filled with the perfect mixture of action with slight comedy here and there. Seems like Channing Tatum is stepping up a bit more, but keeping the action-guy roots. He did well. Nice movie, I liked it.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

It seemed to me like White House Down was kind of copying off Olympus Has Fallen, with Aaron Eckhart. They both have similar storylines.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

That was my original thinking, but in reality, I'm sure that the writers of White House Down came up with the idea for the film before they even knew about Olympus Has Fallen. So it seems circumstantial to me.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I have been watching a lot of films recently but the best was Chinatown which I watched because I'm trying to learn more about screenplays and I heard this one has a pretty good screenplay and duh yes it was amazing. It was a super good screenplay. ANd the other bits of the film were super good too.

The Midnight Sun (2012)

It's a black-and-white independent short film, based on a story by Rod Serling. I watched this on YouTube. Some of the acting is really bad, but the storyline interested me. It's a pretty good watch.

Ashens and the Quest for the Game Child

Pretty good, if I do say so my self. Got a lot of good dry/British humor, which I like a lot. And I must admit, it is pretty well done for a film that was shot on a 70K-ish budget. Kinda shows you don't need to spend 250 million to make a movie.

Also this movie is available to be watched right now if you feel so inclined.

Ginger And Rosa oh my gawd too many feels for one plane ride aaaaaaaa
The beginning of this film was a bit boring, it's just two teenagers being dumb but then the second bit is so jarring and raw and wow I love this I can't even its jut a really beautiful film ok

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

ELYSIUM ruled!

The execution of the exaggerated presentation of modern day economical problems was superb!

However I will say that the way kruger the assassin was healed on Elysium was like the cartoony healing physics the Medic utilizes in Team Fortress 2. His face was literally blown away and he received his eyes and other facial features back. Other than that it also showed how higher powers may lose their compassion to human laborers and can't distinguish them from the droid workers. This movie I hope can be shared and promoted more in order to allow a greater percent of people to acknowledge the message and not turn our future into the polluted Earth shown in this film. This film is not just entertaining, it is powerful in message.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

National Treasure (2004)

I watched this on a car ride from Dallas, TX to Temple, TX while on a Boy Scout trip. It's a good film, a lot of great historical bits in there, and Nic Cage delivers some [surprisingly] good acting. I've seen it three times now, but it's a great watch--even for something the "mastermind" Jerry Bruckheimer could produce.

Kick-Ass
Wow, that was a pretty good movie. I found it very funny and entertaining. I can't wait to see the sequel! Though, as we all know, most sequels aren't as their preceding films.

Lee Daniels' The Butler
My family and I went to go see this in theaters. I do enjoy historic films myself so this was quite an enjoyable film for me.

Grown Ups 2

Well, a typical Adam Sandler movie, but it was fun. mini/smile

Treasure of The Sierra Madre (1948)

This one rivals Casablanca for being my favorite Bogart movie. I really enjoyed the overall message behind this film, and the way it is woven throughout the story.

Inception

Really good film, but quite hard to follow at first. Still I would give it 5 stars.

Epic (2013)

Wut? This is a 2013 animated film. This isn't supposed to be good! But it was.

This is a film that made me scratch my chin in thought a few times. I enjoyed it. But, the ending, however. It's like

Spoiler (click to read)

oh noes my dog swallowed my boyfriend. I gotta go save him. (Music swells)

and that was dumb and childish and weird. I couldn't help but be all like "Oh, come on! REALLY?!?

Amanda Seyfried can sing, she can act--but she can't voice act.

But, anywho, Epic's an all-right watch. Danny "Boingo-Man" Elfman has a pretty good musical score. Chris Wedge might have directed Ice Age and Rio. But, I'll cut him some slack with this one.

Call me crazy, but I enjoyed the first Ice Age film. It was rather creative and pretty humorous. I also enjoyed the third film, but only for the character Buck.

I absolutely love the first one. The second and third ones are not as good, but decent enough, and I haven't actually seen the fourth one yet. Rio wasn't as bad; the cast was great, but some of the jokes could have been better.

Wow!!! This movie was amazing! Probably one of the best baseball movie's I've seen! The actor for Jackie is like exactly how I would picture the actual Jackie, and his acting was really good! 42 is film I'll never forget!
