Hey everyone. I found this topic recently and thought about sharing an image I took at the Buffalo Zoo.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner
Canon 60D with the Canon kit lens 18-135 lens
Nice camera
, although the kit lens isn't really great; I used it for about 6 months, and then upgraded to a better standard zoom lens, and realized how bad the image quality on the kit lens is in comparison. The focal length is really convenient for any sort of journalistic work, but if you're really into photography I would suggest upgrading when you can. Or if your happy with it then don't worry about it. ![]()
Totally agree backyardlegos,
This is my dream lens one day......
Yes, I dream of that lens as well. Like, I literally had a dream where I was using that lens. ![]()

Those look pretty nice. I really like the third one.
I like it, but the problem is that the picture does not conform to the Rule of Thirds.
The road sign is too distracting and should not be blurred.

Thank you sir! I enjoy taking close ups of creatures with stingers, haha

I see what your saying. But the original is really bad...

Not every photo has to conform to the rule of thirds. Once you know and understand the rules, it is sometimes worth ignoring them. You'd be surprised at how many good shots you do get.
But if you really want to blow your mind check this out.

(Plus this site has a great little program that helps you crop your images to get the best rules effect)

@Legocloniac477
Love the bird and I like the third one though I'm not too sure what I'm seeing.
Here's some pictures I have taken with my canon ae-1p (an 80's 35mm slr).

The third one? That's a water faucet.
That rock is awesome! You sir are talented!
The rock in the water is very nice, I'm impressed.
Thanks! ![]()
Here are a few photos I have taken recently with my new Nikon Coolpix p520.
