As the article pointed out, I do find it hilarious that the only Pixar film that was directly open for a sequel hasn't had one yet.
Part of me wants Pixar to make A Bugs Life 2 and have it be about a house being built over Ant Island, and thus the group have to adapt to living in someone's back garden - but the other part of me saw how badly Pixar dealt with environmental themes in Cars 2...

they also dealt with environmental themes in Wall-E and that turned out pretty good

I've always found that funny. I've wanted a sequel to The Incredibles ever since it was released. I did read an article somewhere that said Brad Bird had been thinking of creating a sequel but couldn't find an idea that topped the first film.
Pixar, and Disney in general, should just step away from environmental films entirely for a while. It's kind of been shoved down our throats, and after Cars 2, the point is just forced instead of being gradually introduced.
The Happening
Ugh, if you've heard of it and read about it; you know...
But, if you haven't heard of it; may I suggest: don't watch it. It's terrible. I won't spoil if you do want to watch it, but It's pretty weird.
Plants attacking humans, It was pretty cheesy. And then they tried to make it a serious and dangerous thriller by blowing a kids head off (that part was just disgusting).
Black Hawk Down
I've seen this multiple times, but never really been old enough to understand the whole gravity of it. But I am now. It's a true story, which is the thing that makes this movie frightening; it really happened to those men. Things like that happen to our soldiers everyday. The writing was great. I could tell in a few places where the effects were lacking, but you know it was in 2001, so it's understandable. The acting was great. I was surprised to find Bane in the cast. (Tom Hardy- excuse my Batman reference) Overall it's a good movie, but somewhat gory. I like i a lot. I would suggest watching it, if you don't mind gory.
Last two movies I watch were Much Ado About the Nothing (the new one) and the new Star Trek movie. I think Much Ado was better.
Django: Unchained
Great movie again by Tarantino, some violence was very unrealistic great character arc throughout the film.

This is the End
I didn't really like it, the laughs where occasional, and despite it being original in the way the characters where presented it was a very unoriginal way the story was unfolded.

That's not really a fair comparison.
Into Darkness is a futuristic action adventure movie while Much Ado About Nothing is a modern adaptation of a comedy play written centuries ago. They are both very different films.
Still, I enjoyed both.
Monsters U
I enjoyed it.
Probably going to see Pacific Rim this weekend.
Pah! I compare my Science Fiction films to Shakespearean Comedies all the time! Solaris is far better than Loves Labours Lost, but Twelfth Night always beats THX 1138. A Midsummers Night Dream and Moon tie though,,,
Man of Steel
A very fun and entertaining film to watch. The story felt a bit rushed and I think they could have spent more time in character development, but it wasn't unbearable nor terrible. The action sequences were literally the best I've seen in a superhero film, surpassing that of The Avengers. Kevin Costner was brilliant in this film, as were Michael Shannon and Henry Cavill. I feel that Russel Crowe kind of forced his hand at being Jor-El. While not bad, he wasn't great. I feel the same way about Amy Adams playing Lois Lane. Despite my critiques, it's still the best Superman film created, IMO. It lived up to my high expectations.

Everything Will Be Ok - I Am so Proud of You - It's Such a Beautiful Day
Finally bought the DVD.
Easily, one of the best and most beautiful things I've ever seen.
Told briefly: it's a trilogy of short animated films that tell the story of Bill, an everyday man who suffers from an unknown mental disease. But it's actually much much more than that.
Any attempt to explain what it is (to me, at least) would fail. It doesn't just show what Bill sees or hears or think, it makes me feel it, in a way no other movie has ever done. It's unique.
It manages to be funny and serious without feeling forced, to fill me with joy, wonder, melancholy and sadness at the same time, and really moves me emotionally even at sentences that might sound silly at first, like "His bathmats looks gorgeous". It uses classical pieces the way they deserve to be used.
The three shorts have recently been edited as one feature film that I still have to see.
Some might find it depressing or disturbing, tragic or even frightening (I'm not making these up: a friend of mine said it frightened him...), I simply find it beautiful.
I can't give it a score, it wouldn't make it justice.
Pacific Rim
Lives up to everything it promises to be. Seriously, go watch it.

This. This perfectly sums it up, in my opinion. The Kaiju on Mecha action is great (especially for a Kaiju/ Mecha nut like me) and the human drama is interesting and, to me, very real feeling. Seriously, this is awesome.
See it on the biggest screen you can.
Come on, guys. This is being beaten by Grown Ups 2. Honestly, would you rather see one of the best summer action films in a while, or deer pee. ![]()

Moonrise Kingdom
Of course I still loved it. ![]()
The Dark Knight Rises
I thought I would give it another chance but I still didn't really like it. Objectively it's very good. I thought there was too much about fancy rich people and their fancy rich people problems, as well as too much shooting. What's more, they did the thing tht was so stupid and you know what I'm taking about it you watched this
Megamind
Whoop this was a crappy movie. I could only bear to watch like half of it. Just like the script was atrocious. And I hate the guy who did the voice. I can't remember if it was stewve carrel of jimbles carry but I hate them both so huh. I missed the first minute of it where they show the studio logos but even so I could tell it was dreamworks...
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
You've never laughed before if you hvent seen this yet

Not really...
What thing?
lets put all gotham's policemen in a sewer... What could possibly go wrong??
I personally think it was a good way to portray Gordon's emotions while in the situation. He was basically just like "Screw this, I want this guy out of here, every available cop, go!" Why Blake didn't say "Hey, this might not be the best idea" I don't know. Maybe he just didn't want to argue with him. But in Gordon's irritated mindset, it was the best thing to do.
if I was in a situation like that I maybe would have said something like that because yeah getting shot and not doing anything sucks but really id get annoyed for people to take it literally.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
I had forgotten how much young Rupert Grint looks like a distressed cat.
A Beautiful Mind
I loved this, I'd never seen it before and it was very good. The music/sound were stupendous and some of the camera movements during...certain parts...were brilliant.
I was a little confused for a few minutes in there since I had no back story and had never heard of the guy (my mom got the movie).
In any case, great movie. I strongly suggest watching it if you haven't.
