Topic: Best Villian Death/Defeat

I don't know if this topic is too morbid but, yeah. Here is a place to post what you believe is the best or "creative", if you will, death/defeat of a bad guy in any movie.
So just say the: Movie, the Actor/Character, and or a description. And maybe post a picture or something.

One of my personal favorites is in "Speed" (1994) Dennis Hopper.
I just build up so much hatred for the guy until finally that one last blow in the face nearly knocks off his head in the subways station.

Uh, the destruction of Palpatine in Star Wars?

Sauron in Lord of the Rings?

Those are my two favorite movies, and personally, I like the bad guys of those movies when it comes to favorite characters. (Saruman, Darth Vader, etc)

Re: Best Villian Death/Defeat

I always thought the effects they used on the death of voldemort were pretty nifty although the actual death was lame.

Re: Best Villian Death/Defeat

There is NO, and I mean NO villain death as awesome as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSTL3AidX4o

Actually, there isn't really any villain death like it for that matter... mini/lol

no more brickfilming *sad face*.

Re: Best Villian Death/Defeat

Plankton's defeat in the Spongebob Squarepants Movie was probably one the most amazing ones I've seen. That's the only one I can think of.

Re: Best Villian Death/Defeat

Okay, I've thought of one. The death/suicide of Inspector Javert in Les Miserables, albeit disturbing--you can hear his body parts crack as his corpse hits the pavement--has to be one of the best villain deaths I've seen in a movie in a long time.

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Best Villian Death/Defeat

This won't make sense to you unless you've seen the movie! But I really want to know what your reaction is if you haven't seen it so...

I like Azula's defeat from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Seeing the character go insane is a very satisfying end to her character arc.

I also really enjoy the Green Goblin's death scene from Spider-man. His quick "Oh!" makes me laugh hysterically for some reason I'm not fully aware of.

Re: Best Villian Death/Defeat

Yes! I've always found the little "Oh" hilarious. It kinda reminds me of the "NNNOOOOOO-Crap" scene in this Brickfilm (which I suspect was inspired by it)

I absolutely love Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. If you come across this film, watch it - but fast forward any scene that doesn't have Rickman in it. What's so great about the character is that even when he's dying (after a cheap stab in the nipple) he's still hamming it up one last time. I think Alan was the only person who really got the tone of the film - sort of like Johnny Depp in every single film he's in (apart from Alice in Wonderland)

The best serious, straight-faced death scene would have to be this scene from Kurosawa's Throne of Blood. If you haven't seen the film - I highly recommend it. Its basically Macbeth set in feudal Japan - which along with Space and the Wild West is the best setting for anything. And if you know Macbeth, you will know the context of this scene and will feel the build-up to this climax already.

Also, the amount of arrows the guy takes would make Boromir's beard shrivel with shame, and Leonidas's abs shrink away.

From Arkham City:

Spoiler (click to read)

The very true death of the Joker in the main story in the Arkham City Video Game. To me, this is a little better that the death of the Joker portrayed in "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker". I think that in order to portray the death of the joker well, Batman must see him die in person. I didn't like how the character died in "The Dark Knight Returns Part 2".

Re: Best Villian Death/Defeat

I love the Jar-Jar Binks death, but it happens off-screen...

Also, this death scene was pretty memorable:

It's a good scene, but the ''My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die'' is the best moment of the entire film, in my opinion.

The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-sALU_hveA Also, in the scene where the eggs explode, there is a bag of Stay-Puft marshmallows on the counter. Foreshadowing!
