The face of Smeagol!
I'm looking forward to this film, and I'll contribute if I can, although my parents have been getting on my case about how much money I've been spending recently, and I have purchases I want to make for my own film endeavors; such is the life of a college student.
I didn't get to the dinosaur movie in time so I will be sure to help out with this one! I watched the thing and it looks really awesome so far.
Also Sméagol you have a really pretty beard! All you need is a beret and like a bow tie and you would be the world's bet director!
I see you are filming in Waco again. I live in Texas so if you need any like intern help or free labor I might be available this summer! Just putting that offer out there ![]()
[/unrelated] your style of cinematography is very inspirational to me. I love the way the diologue is spoken and the colors of the camera especially. Reminds me of Wes Andersen or Amélie or one of the films from Sigur Ros's Valtari contest (the one where the fox gets eaten by maggots in a time lapse-you should really check that out!)
Thanks, folks. Making the cinematography on this film really beautiful is definitely a point of emphasis. We should be pretty well equipped; I shot My Father is a Tyrannosaurus Rex. on about a $2.5k budget with a very small crew, and this time we're aiming for a much larger budget with an on-set crew of 14 people. We'll be shooting with a Canon C300 or possibly a RED Scarlet. Both are very nice cinema cameras. We're getting access for free, so we can put the budget toward other priorities. But of course, the important thing is having a good cinematographer, and I feel confident that we have that this time.
I've also spent more time writing this film than practically all my other screenplays put together. It's a fairly challenging, complex story compared to what I've done before, but I feel that the core is simple, universal, and hopefully resonant. There's been a very involved process of revising and rewriting over the past six months. I estimate the film will be close to two hours long.
How long are the early bird specials available? I'd like to get the behind-the-scenes content on the DVD so I was wondering how soon I need to get contribution in.
They are available until the 50 slots per offer fill up. I don't know when that will be; we're going to be aggressively marketing the Kickstarter over the next week or so. I'd say if you want to take advantage of the offer, sooner is safer than later.
If you do miss it, though, the $50 tier includes the same limited edition DVD/Blu-Ray for only $15 more than the Blu-Ray option, and it also comes with the full movie poster, which will probably ultimately look cooler than the mockup on the page (between the Isetta and the flash drive images).

I'll keep it mind. Right now, it looks like we're going to be very well equipped already as far as crew. The big thing we need now is...financing.
Very nice. I see you (or someone else helping with the Kickstarter) has also read the Kickstarter article on Tim Ferriss' blog.
Are you going to be composing the score? and will the score be up for purchase sometime? just wondering because your music is pretty darn awesome but I am probably not able to contribute 100 dollars anytime soon :C

Thanks. I'll be composing the score. I plan to put a lot more time into it than I'm usually able to, since I'm only in charge of a couple aspects of post-production (visual effects and music). I'm sure the soundtrack will go on sale at some point after the film's complete.
It's worth noting that the film itself won't be available for probably a fairly long time after it's done, because of festivals. The Kickstarter incentives all include an advance copy by April 2014, shortly after we finish the movie. So if you want to see the movie before late 2015, the Kickstarter's probably your best bet.
Ah I will share that anyway but I'm going to contribute money anyway ^.^
Seeing you with a bread was weird for me.
Anyways, I'll be sure to donate.

Do you mean Beard?
You with bread IS weird...
I assume that if you contribute over 10 dollars you get the wallpapers and digital script in addition to the other stuff?
bread isn't that weird.
