Re: The Animation Challenge
I think GEF meant it was the first time GEF had masked frames...anyway, great entry
look forward to the next challenge.

Is this your first ever try at brickfilming or is that just your first youtube video?
I have been animating for a couple of years, so MrMingle was right. I have not done it in about six months though in lack of computer, and just started filming again about two weeks ago.
That is awesome that I won with my first ever posted movie, and congrats to all the other entries. I have been gone all day and that is why I have not posted the next challenge, I am thinking of Boxing, but I will take suggestions. I will decide anyway by tomorrow afternoon.
Edit: Decided to change the next theme posting time to tomorrow.

A Helicopter flight sequence is my suggestion. That would be cool!
I still like boxing because I already have all the props and pieces which I don't have for the helicopter sequence.
@GEF
I also won my one of these contests on my first try it was the dance number contest. I know how good it feels so I am very happy for you.
I watched your dance number movie, and it was excellently done, can see where you won with it.
Since someone else also wants to do boxing, boxing it is.
Animation Challenge: Boxing
Due date: End of June 2
Good luck everyone and have fun. ![]()

Boxing as in fighting is what I intended it, but if you can think of a creative way to apply the other type, go ahead. Thanks for asking. ![]()
Yes, I meant June 2...I didn't mean to right may, I will fix it. Thanks for alerting me to it. ![]()
Ha Ha, That's fine I thought that was what you meant.
My entry is reaching completion. I just have some things like a grunt pass and a few lines to record.
Sweet, looking forward to both of your entries. ![]()
GUYS I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH! I haven't been brickfilming lately. Anyway Today I plan on FINALLY uploading and finishing an on and off production from late last year.
I really need to stop procrastinating...
Then I'll see if I can make an entry!
I'll enter hopefully. Looking forward to it. Is kick-boxing allowed?
I have a quick question for GEF. Do I need to have mine sent in by the end of June 2 or by the morning of June 2?
Normally people judge things in the evening to give any last-minute guys time to enter.
And I can't see this being any different.
Mine is coming together, but because of church tomorrow and working all day today, it won't be a completed short before the deadline. I hope to finish animation this evening, and work on sound and effects for a finished release on the 3rd or 4th. I will get a WIP version up later tonight for judging though.
I'm not sure about Kick-boxing, and would suggest leaning to the side of safety and going with a more traditional "Boxing" concept. Still, it's your call.
That was pretty damn good...but I wish you'd used blue tack more under the feet, this means you wouldn't be making them stand on the pegs so much and the movement would have been less stiff.
