Any suggestions? (and check the winners list on the first page before suggesting, please)
How bout flipping. Or jumping a motorcycle.Or talking without FX. Or blinking without FX.
I was considering talking without fx. (it's one thing I found challenging when making short films instead of tests.)
Does everyone like the idea? Example of great talking without fx: http://youtu.be/TMXKTQnt9HI
Do you mean talking without SFX, or mouth animation without SFX?
If you mean just talking, I'll enter, if not, I probably won't.
That example is straight up basic talking, and is by far the easier of the two. It's not that hard, and it's more fun.
If want you just a fun little contest, sure. But if you're looking for a more challenging action, I'd say go for the mouth animation.
I'd rather talking, just to throw my opinion out there, not that it matters. ![]()
Go for mouth animation without Special effects
I don't want mouth animation my example should have shown that. (besides if you wanted to do that you should of done it for replacement animation like I did).
So.....is everyone O.K. with just plain talking?
Here's the challenge:
Talking
Objective: Create realistic body, head, and arm movements synced with a conversation (The humor of it will act as a tie breaker if needed)
Good examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzNKF2j1yhQ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMXKTQnt9HI
Deadline: 9:00 pm pacific coast time April 22
This is a good challenge. It's something that can be used for almost every film and it's something almost everybody needs work on.
Now, this doesn't mean I'm going to enter. I never enter these things because I wait too long and then it ends and I'm left with this weird little animation totally out of context and I'm like what do I do with this this is no good.
But you made a good decision here. We need more like this.
Binding Brick:
Objective: Create realistic body, head, and arm movements synced with a conversation
Good examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzNKF2j1yhQ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMXKTQnt9HI
Humor has nothing to do with it but in the unlikely chance of a complete tie the funniest one would win.
Do you think it's okay to enter some work I was doing this week... I wasn't making it for this animation challenge...
If it hasn't been released it's fair game, the community settled on that a while ago. ![]()
L'entrée I just got done with the color corrections and editing stuff. So here it is.
