Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I can volunteer for that position; to consolidate the designs in one layout and commission graphic design projects for others to work on.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

This may be spreading this topic out too far, but would it be okay to have a new thread just for the graphic design, and when that gets finished, like CWStudios was saying, ship it off to us and then we can incorporate that into the program?

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I need to know one thing, are you okay with us using the the "Biscuit" logo that I believe Repelling Spider created? I like it, but -- it may just be me -- it doesn't seem to fit the color scheme in mind....

I like it, I think most everyone liked it.

Awesome.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I have to say, I was kinda skeptical when this was first announced, but I'm actually really impressed by the amount of progress that's happened these past few months with all you guys. I might have to give it a try soon. mini/smile

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

So are we having the glare on the eyes? I thought we settled upon not having it?

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I don't know, whatever you guys want to do.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I like the glare.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I do not.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

On the smaller icon, the glare almost destroys the image, as  there are just random dots on the icon. As for the full size version, I don't have a preference as to glare or no glare.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

I'll leave it up to popular decision. If you need higher resolution versions of the logo, give me the dimensions and I'll make them.

On the interface side, if this is in fact the logo that you'll be using, you'll want to design the interface around it. I don't have a huge amount of time to invest in interface design, especially as I've never done so before. One thing I'd recommend though: don't go heavy on the design aspect of the software itself. Keep it simple to start with. No need to have a super interesting design or anything. Take a look at a lot of software out on the market today. A lot of it is just solid colors and borders. Perhaps it would be best to implement the logo and be sparse on the interface for now. Focus on getting the software working, tested, and launched. Perhaps in a future release it could have a more complex and custom design. Just my 2 cents on the issue. mini/smile

Two "sense" taken, RP. That is true- future revisions can get all "fancy"- but I think we should look at the sleek, simple trend of modern era. That's what works, what everyone's looking for, and etcetera.

@electricvoltstudios- tutorials would be greatly appreciated. mini/smile

My life goes by 24fps.

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

On another note, the logo/icon doesn't have the same color scheme as the interface (dark and light gray shades)....

Re: Developers/Programmers Needed! Let's create a stopmotion program!

When you talk about the interface color scheme, is the image in your signature an example?

I thought that only interface concepts/ideas had been presented. Not a final product or design yet. Anyways, the fill colors could always be adjusted to match with the design scheme of the logo.

Yes, although it's a very minimal example

They had been presented; and if you took a quick peek, it was mostly gray, was it not? I'm just suggesting that we may have to update the logo's color scheme, but if you folks like it the way it is, then that's alright with me. Of course, the actual biscuit in the logo would stay the same color mini/smile

I like the colors of spider's logo personally.
