I don't think there's a file size or resolution size limit mentioned anywhere on youtube, which is awesome because I remember when we had a 2MB limit on backgrounds 
ridiculous.
After fighting with it for several hours, I finally got a good background image up.
Turns out there is a size limit, because the slightly more than 2Mb backgrounds would set it off and not work.
But they don't tell you that until you hit the select button and it's "Saving," and they also don't tell you what the limit is.
It's also a pain to find something that looks good on all the formats.
So yeah, so much for getting anything else done this morning. 
Anyone notice that they no longer show the subscriber count on the "old" channel design?
Huh, well that's stupid.
I appears as though they haven't completely removed the count, but have just made it smaller. It seems kinda weird, but what ever.
I'm probably going to switch to the new design over spring break next week, anyway, as I'll actually have time to make a decent banner.
Decided to try it out, not bad actually. I like it.
In the past week I got 3 subscribers, I feel somewhat happy!
Btw guys, I uploaded a video to Youtube a little while ago. However, whenever I search for it, it doesn't show up. I've tried typing the exact title, but it doesn't appear on Youtube. I know it's there, as I can access it when I'm logged on (via my channel). It's not a private video either, so I'm not sure what it's all about. One thing that would be nice is to see if one of you could make sure it's actually on Youtube.
(And sorry if this seems like a promotional thing, but I'm honestly not sure what's going on, and want to figure it out.)

I just searched for it, and I can find it just fine. It may just be that Youtube assumes you aren't trying to search for your own video, so it gives you different results.
Also, that was a really good video! Nice and smooth animation! You earned your first subscriber!

So I've been having trouble with Youtube lately. I switched to the new channel design, but when I did it freaked out. I can't load my home page when I'm logged in. The other pages work fine but the home page just won't load. I tried logging out and It loads fine. I'm frustrated and confused. Help?
I wish change my video thumbnail, I hate the 3 options youtube gave to choose.

@PH30 if your account is in good standing (ie no copyright strikes) you can get custom thumbnails, although you might have to go into your YouTube account's settings, click the features tab and then the verify account link next next to custom thumbnails. (I appoligise if this is incorrect I'm on my phone and can't easily check if what I just said is right)
Hmm, I'll be making my new Youtube account soon. Starting afresh. Will give me a chance to also get to go into the new Youtube design without much expectations I guess.

If your account is a month old, and has a good copyright standing, then you can.
Also, I'm starting to get more into indie filmmaking and I made this channel. But I need some help with channel art and logo.. If any one can help that would be flippin' fantastic!
