Topic: Frame blending in After Effects

What is best way to Frame blend LEGO animations? I find frame mixing looks choppy but pixel motion give me lots of warping mini/sad  I just want something that looks nice and smooth.

Re: Frame blending in After Effects

I think the key is to not rely on digital effects to smooth out your animation but to make smoother animation.  Those are the best options you have for After Effects.

Re: Frame blending in After Effects

I've done many experiments of the years to smooth out choppy animation but any that come out semi-decent are very compositing-heavy and probably not worth it.

Like Lech said, best to bite the bullet and take more time in the shooting phase to make it smoother there.
