I've been storyboarding and scripting for this for a long time, but I guess I should tell what I am doing:
The story is set in Minecraftia (obviously), and follows the adventure of several companions as they journey to defeat Herobrine (whom was defeated long ago, but his rising is taking place).
While a lot of elements of Minecraft will be in this, I will be including a lot more in that is not in the game (such as the Aether and Skylands dimensions, Dragons, and many other things).

Why Herobrine has to be defeated:

Herobrine was originally a wizard that was sent to Minecraftia along with 4 other wizards from the Aether to unite the free peoples of Minecraftia against an evil Necromancer known as Chira Nor-Brine, who planned to cover the world in eternal darkness. The wizards were: Notch, Steve (now Herobrine), Jeb, Nanners, and Captain Sparkles. During the "final" battle of wilder Minecraftia, Chira Nor-Brine poisoned Steve's mind right before being defeated by Nanners (who later threw Chira into the void). Darkness seeped into Steve's mind, and all he wanted was power and domination over all life. Steve then gathered an army of Creepers, Zombies, and Skeletons, and went to battle against Notch and the free peoples. Steve was banished to the Nether dimension. Without any sunlight, Steve's eyes turned completely blind. After 13,000 years, he escaped from the stronghold, and began gathering an army of evil.
Several artifacts were created, and their combination will ultimately defeat Herobrine.
