Topic: Helium Frog problem (Solved)

Hey guys!

I'm a proud owner of the classic brickfilming machine Quickcam Pro 9000. Recently I've been trying to achieve better quality of the images, so naturally I'm trying to shoot in the biggest resolution possible (using Helium Frog which I started using recently and I like it a lot). The problem is when I pick 1600x1200 (max res) in Helium Frog it only gives me the option of 10FPS and 5FPS, is there no way to change this? I want the animations to be at 15FPS (at least).

It shouldn't have any limitations on the fps. Where are you seeing this?

Well I start up the "Helium_Frog_2_06.exe", then I select the pro 9000 as my source and press continue, then this table of settings shows up "Pin Properties", I pick the resolution and I try to go for 15fps but there are only 2 options for me.

Once you start filming you can go to Settings and change the fps there. What you have there never seems to actually do anything for me.

Just thought I'd shed some understanding on what that setting is. That FPS setting you can set there, when you choose your camera, is for the camera only. In other words, it is simply a camera setting for how fast it delivers your live view. It has nothing to do with the FPS setting you choose in the options window. That FPS is what defines your movies FPS. The FPS setting in that little dialog box is only going to affect how smooth the live view in HF is, and it has nothing to do with HF. It is a camera limitation. The QCP9000 can only deliver 1600x1200 res at 5 or 10 FPS. You'll notice that the smaller you set the resolution, the higher the FPS you can choose.
