Topic: Adobe After Effects Rendering Issue (Solved)

So basically, when I go to render some footage that has been rotoscoped in AE, the renderer often rotoscopes more than I tell it to. Like, when I try rotoscoping out some blue screen and then render it, there will be random other patches that AE chooses should also be rotoscoped, even when I didn't tell it to. Does anyone have an idea as to why? I'm thinking it may be the speed of my computer, and especially the ram. I have 4gb ram, and an intel i3-370m processor, without a graphics card. I'm rendering in 720p.
Thanks if anyone who might have a solution.

P.S.  If you're wondering why I'm rotoscoping instead of croma-keying, it's cause there are minifigs wearing blue.

I have never encountered that problem before. That could be due to your render settings. What are they?

Re: Adobe After Effects Rendering Issue (Solved)

Well, I was just messing around with the rotoscoping part, and aparrently I wasn't giving the renderer enough info (wasn't saying where the foreground was enough). Anyways, I got the shot rendered, and hopefully won't have the problem again. Also, sorry for making this thread, when a little more testing fixed it. Also, thanks for the reply CI.

I've never had this happen to me either. I don't think it's a rendering issue though. Maybe it's how you rotoscoped it out. Does it mess up the rotoscope when you play it back in the preview or only in the final render?

Re: Adobe After Effects Rendering Issue (Solved)

lol. We posted at the same time. And no, it didn't mess up in the preview, only in the renderer.
