Re: Works-in-Progress Post and Critique
No, i'd say he's doing car head lights.
Yes, which is why the spotlights are coming out of the car's headlights.

Move the blue sheet away from he set so that there is no shadow on it. Also, try building a fence, then a small microcale street, and then the blue, so that it doesn't look as if the ground meets the sky.
Since i'm sure that's the grave of Bruce Wayne's parents. i think it looks good but the blue ruins the background
Hi,
great to see that so many posted.
Actually, it's the grave of Rachel Dawes. I just didn't have the time to add some letters, I'll do that someday.
The shots were basically to test out some angles which look dramatic and give one a cinema-feeling.
I already planned to change the background/sky. I think I'll try to work with a printed-out sky photograph which I set behind the set.
@Smeagol: actually, there are going to be several scenes at the grave. One in the middle of the day, with a nice, clear sky.
And one at the evening, where it's rainy and overcast.
Thanks for your tips.

I think it needs some kind of background other than just a solid color... like maybe the side of a building? or some actual buildings. A row of trees, bushes, or a long fence...
That reminds me of Grace by Nos.
I agree with CJW, I think you should put buildings behing it.

Then get some blue card.
It is blue card.
That's really good New Right you never cease to amaze me.
NewRight, I think the background would blend a lot better if the dirt were much lighter (like the baseplate) at the edge. The angle is great, though.
I'm with Nick. If the background matched the foreground baseplate, it could blend in almost perfectly since it's an out-of-focus part of the shot.

Why are you focused on the plant? Is the plant the most important part of the frame? It seems to me that you should be focused on the man, and then the frame will have depth, both background and foreground depth.
IMHO.

I agree/don't agree with High Tower, when the shot with the plant is very artistic, then-again the focusing on the man would get a little more depth into the story. but I would put them together and have the plant for the first shot, after focus in on the man.
Thats pretty cool man! Will this be made into a film? Because I would want to see it ![]()
