Just remember folks, things out there in Hollywood are not so darn serene. All the stars are in a panic. Here's the reason why: Everyone must talk out loud or kiss the town goodbye!
This is an official casting call for my upcoming gay silent brickfilm The Hazards of Henry. Now, wait a minute!
Why do I need voices for a silent movie? Well...it's only for the last scene. Please read more about the plot in the Scene Setting section below. The voices required is one male voice.
Scene Setting
A street café in Hollywood in late 1927. Henry and Sammy are coming in to meet Alessandra and Mitsy for lunch. The scene is casual, yet high class. Mitsy still hasn’t switched over to talking and still uses title cards to speak. This scene is meant to bring a closing to the film by filling up any unnecessary plot holes and to give the audience one last laugh at the time period of Hollywood’s silent years before the transition of silent to talkies. This scene is estimated to be between one and two minutes long when completely animated.

Mitsy Berlin

Vocal Description: Ditsy, Idiotic, Over-ecstatic, Blonde
# of Lines: 1

There. It's a small array of voices, but I hope it's convincing. By the way, the title is a play on The Hazards of Helen, which was a turn of the century film serial about a Helen Holmes getting into dangerous situations, such as being tied to railroad tracks. That should give you a hint about the cuteness of this work-in-progress. If you are interested in voice acting for one or more parts, please email me at [email protected]. PS: When this movie is finally done, I plan on entering it into legit film festivals. I already have one brickfilm entered into the Ann Arbor Film Festival and Omaha Film Festival. I look forward to your auditions. ![]()
