Topic: WANTED: Mystery Minifigure collector to animate Sci Fi Series!

Hi all!

I wrote the first episode in a sci-fi epic serial.  The title of the series is "Galaxy Girl And The Space Marines".  All of the characters in the series are from Lego's Mystery Minifigure collections, with an emphasis on the space and historic warrior figures.  Crucial are the main characters: Galaxy Girl (series 6 Galactic Girl) and a minimum of 6 Space Marines (series 7 Space Marine) are needed.  The series 4 green alien (or the series 6 stereotypical alien if you prefer), any robot (series 1, series 6, or series 8.  There will be more robots later, so if you have them all, that's even better!), the Roman soldier (series 2; script can be changed to Aztec or Greek) and the Minotaur (series 6) are also needed for episode 1.

I have a complete script for the first episode (7 to 8 minutes, about the length of a classic Looney Tunes cartoon), started writing a second episode, and have an overall outline for the entire story arc.  I can even produce all the audio if you don't want to (dialogue, sound effects, even writing and recording all the music), but I don't have the time to animate a second series and be a dedicated father.  Nor do I have the resources and time to design and build the sci-fi sets and vehicles needed.  But I'm sure there is someone out there bubbling with creativity who needs a story that loves the genre the way I did.  (When I was about 10 one of my brothers and I built Lego ships and space stations and drew comics based on the designs.)  "Galaxy Girl And The Space Marines" is a space fantasy filled with action, adventure, surprises, and solid characters.  It will also be filled with thick melodrama and all the cliches of classic era sci-fi.  And the screenplay is very loosely written, so as long as you don't make any of the fighting so graphicly gory that it's repulsive, you get to animate everything your own way!

I only ask one more thing: that I get to choose who does the voice of Galaxy Girl!  And I'd like to do voice work for one recurring character, no one in particular.

Reply to this thread or send a PM if you're seriously interested.  Maybe we'll make a good team!

Would you be interested in animating my idea?

I am flattered you ask, but I am so busy right now as it is with completing My Batman movie and a ton of
other projects I have to do.

I don't know if two series going on at the same time is a good idea. You're still working on that sitcom, right?

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Yes, I am.  Episode 2 is about halfway finished.  I'm also writing scripts for someone else's project, a crime drama.  I realize that I can get overwhelmed taking on a second project, which is why I'm asking if there's anyone out there who wishes to animate the story.  I think the story is interesting and fun and just didn't wanted to see it remain a screenplay.

By the way, I've posted some models and stills from episode 2 on my tumblr page (http://holding-our-own.tumblr.com).  You can get a sneak preview of episode 2 there.
