Topic: [CLOSED] Expedition The Mysterious Orb - Now in Production!

My Idea is a series of movies (maybe a trilogy, maybe a saga) of "Adventurers" stories that I will write, compose, direct, edit, and partially animate and voice act. I have a secondary animator helping me out, and of course, the help of the very talented TLFScarheart.

The point of this post? - I just want to share this project with others, so you can learn of what I will be doing.

As of writing this (late November 2012) I don't have much else I can tell you. This early in pre-production, I don't even have a full script or cast of characters. SO, I will ask/accept any other voice actors' that may be willing to play a character. However, as of now, I will finish up the script, so I WILL know the answer to all of your questions, and be able to post this film under "production."

So far, however, I CAN say that some of Baron Von Barron's henchmen will need voices, as well as maybe a few other main characters... mini/wink

For more of a "background" on the story, here is a "clip" from the World Magazine Newspaper:

The Main article is Pippin Reed, writing of what was found... The article directly under it was written to make the newspaper fit into the "time period" more... And the article next to THAT is a reference to Atlantis: The Lost Empire. (A 2001 Disney movie that I have made a "thing" to at least reference or quote in every movie. Kind of like the Wilhelm Scream)

Yes, Mighty Wanderer (Your Username sounds SO cool!) Pippin Reed is from the Adventurers theme, and this movie, Expedition - The Mysterious Orb is based upon the original Johnny Thunder line.

This sounds like a great story, I love Johnny Thunder(look my username)!!!  I actually made a four part series of about 2 min each when I was 11...I would t want to show anyone though, my animation was terrible. 
If you need any voice actors I could think about helping (so long as its family friendly).  I have an American accent (sadly) but could try to do any kind if voice.  Since this is only in preproduction it'll be after the 10 of December at least(I'm assuming).  I'll be busy until then.

So I don't know if you'd consider my voice acting, but even if not, good luck!

Just my intentions, JonnDthunDer, "bring the honor back to Thunder!" Actually, this film has a "release date" (at least, what I have in mind) for Feb 4, 2013. (Which is the 3rd anniversary of my youtube channel) And, about your family friendly comment, that's EXACTLY what I'm going for. mini/smile I love movies like Atlantis the Lost Empire (which I reference all of the time) Spider-Man, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and even Hook (yes, I liked that movie).

I'll be sure to write your name down on my list of possible voices. (I can ALWAYS use people for background voices, if nothing else mini/XD )

So, to everyone else, I will accept EVERYONE who wants to voice... Just maybe not as a main character mini/smile

Awesome, sounds great! 
Johnny Thunder is my non-lisenced favorite theme of all time and I would love to do any voice you'd need!  Maybe someday I will release my old Johnny Thunder animations.  I was really weird when I made them and didn't want to use my real voice...so I used the voices in my Mac mini/XD

I sure will, JonnDthunDer. mini/smile And, actually, Johnny Thunder IS my favorite theme Lego ever made (licensed or not).

And yes, I'm one of those "only classic Lego" people... However, not as much as some, as I'll buy a new set here and there. Though, mostly through bricklink.

Sounds cool. I loved the whole Orient Expedition line, and have all of the sets (well, me and my brother together do). Glad to here you're going to incorporate it into this film. Glad to hear it will be "family friendly." Also, the title says "an upcoming brickfilm" while in the first post you said it will be a series of brickfilms mini/wink. Anyway, I wish you luck, and hope you have a good time animating it.

Thanks LG501. Yeah, Expedition The Mysterious Orb sounds a little odd, but Expedition II, The Red Stones (just made up) Sounds good too. That's why I've said series, but am only advertising this one...

Besides, the release date (I'd LIKE to meet, but again, might not, depending on pre-production length) is Feb 4th... The sequel will take at least until Christmas, next year. lol. And if I said Christmas, then people would think this Christmas...

Yes, family friendly... I love ForrestFire101's videos, as much as many others, but that's just not... ME. I can't bring myself to swear, and won't force others to do it either... Action will be mild. (At the most, similar to Romancing the Stone, where the villain's hand is eaten off by a croc... Hmm, missing one hand, a small curled mustache... mini/smile

I was actually going to produce the music all by myself (give it just a few more minutes, and a link will be up for my JT theme and some other compositions for the movie) HOWEVER, since I really like your style of music, and because you're on my good side (LOL) I'd be more than willing to accept help.

Are you trying to give Johnny and them Australian (or even british) accents, or are you just going to use whatever you get?

It's so cool to see all of these JT fans working together through this (well, now kind of old) website. mini/bigsmile

So far, this is the rough, rough, rough outline:

1910 - A group of archaeologists witness an unmarked submarine blow up a German Imperial submarine...
They find a mysterious glowing orb in it... the only thing that survived.
Johnny Kilroy and Harry set off to meet Pippin, Jing Lee, and the other archaeologists in a secret base in Nepal.
... stuff happens...
Johnny has a final sword fight with Baron.
