The trailer for this upcoming adaption of Max Brooks zombie novel is now out.
For those who have read the book what is your impression to the trailer.
And to those who have not what is your first impression?
I have read the read book and must say it looks promising, but I am surprised at the story arc they are focusing on for this film.
What say you?
Preface: Never read the book (never even heard of it until now actually), but a quick run through of its Wikipedia page should suffice. 
As far as the book goes, I have to say it looks like an interesting read. I don't generally like "horror" books or whatever it might be called, but World War Z actually looks like it has a lot more depth to it than the usual.
As for what the film looks like... First, it is obviously going to bear just superficial resemblance to the book. I can tell that with just a cursory glance. Second, it unfortunately looks like it is going to be simply another action/zombie movie. True, it doesn't look like it is going to be the usual "I haz zombies with exploding heads! Watch me nao!", but still... I'm also not a big fan of apocalyptic films. I find them to usually be sort of depressing at the very least, but that is just me.
I'm just not into those zombie films. I'll watch end-of-the-world/apocalyptic films. But, if they turn it into a zombie thing, I just turn my cheek and laugh.
