Topic: Help finding a computer

Alright we have been looking for the right computer FOREVER.Now we know what i need.A computer that has, Intel 2 Core Duo E6600, at least 4 GB of RAM, and a 500 GB hard drive....but the problem is we can't find one with XP, only Vista. I have software called Ulead Video Studio 9. I have had it for a long time and would like to get a computer with enough space to actually use it. It won't work with Vista! So i need help to find one with those specifications! If you find something just post it in this thread! PLEASE HELP!!!!

Have you checked out the Dell Vostro series?

You sure about that? Sony Vegas lists that it would only work with XP but I have no problem with Vista.

Re: Help finding a computer

The pre-made vostro's sucked. That is until i customized it. I'm actually pretty mad because i read some where that Dell wouldn't let you customize your computers any more. Anyways i printed out what i customized and will discuss it with my mom. It came out to like 793 bucks. I think i can get it to maybe 720 something dollars. But if any of you can find what i'm looking for cheaper it would be appreciated. mini/smile

I read a bit of complaints about it not working with Vista. mini/wink

My version of vegas has a nice little "Vista Compatible" Sticker.

Try using http://www.globalcomputer.com or http://www.tigerdirect.com/ and build your own pc... it sounds like you know exactly what you want so all you have to do is order all the parts and put it together.  They also sell barebone kits that you can look into...
Good luck!
