Topic: WAV. files

I have a new computer and it only has Sound Recorder. I guess I can only record WMA. files on it. I try to audition for people's casting calls, but they tell me it has to be a WAV. file. Is there any way that I can convert the WMA. to a WAV. without getting Audacity? mini/blankexpression

Re: WAV. files

What are all the other programs that you have?
And I think Sony Vegas can do audio exporting/conversion...If that helps. mini/eh

Re: WAV. files

Why don't you want to get Audacity? It's free.

I really think you should get Audacity. Not only does Sound Recorder not give you flexibility of file type, audio recorded with it has poor quality even with a good microphone.

Re: WAV. files

@Pritchard Well, that's the thing. This is a new laptop where I don't even have Movie Maker. Now I have to go search for a bunch of new programs.

@minifig051 No, I do. I just thought there'd be some alternative.

I'll get Audacity, I used to have it actually. In fact I think I'll get some new programs as well. But, I was just trying to take the easy way out.

Seriously what? He added the whole, "I'll get Audacity" bit later when he edited his post.
