Am I able to partner some of my videos, if the rest contain copyright material?

Yes. Videos are only monetised if you choose them to be.

I've tried to monetize LEGO Bowling...

So I registered to Google AdSense, but I received this message:

Google AdSense wrote:

Copyrighted material: We've found that your website contains copyrighted material. As stated in our program policies (https://support.google.com/adsense/bin/ … d_material), AdSense publishers may not display Google ads on webpages with content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content.

This includes sites that display copyrighted material, sites hosting copyrighted files, or sites that provide links driving traffic to sites that contain copyrighted material.

Hi guys, I have been on youtube for a while, and have been wondering about a question. In what ways help to viewer growth. I so far have 86 subscribers, and are trying to get 100. If you guys have any tips that would be great if you answered them. Thanks!

Ways to become more popular:
1)Create decent videos that people wanna watch (obviously).
2)Buy advertisement to attract bigger viewership.
3)Be lucky. I know it's a "stupid" way but let's face it, youtube and real life share this similarity... sometimes you have to be in the right place at the right time. There are plenty of youtubers out there who make average, dull videos yet they are succesful and their monthly earnings are over 2000$. I had this discussion with another brickfilmer other day and we definitely agreed that while guys like FF101 and Keshen8 do make good videos they really got it easy (the viewership and etc.), there's a huge list of animators who struggle to get views despite their awesome talent (Cannedgravy, SuburbAnimStudios and etc.). My video "Freddy vs Jason" has over 800k views and has generated me a big amount of subscribers and that brickfilm isn't even that good, it's bad IMO (comparing to my recent vids which struggle to get 1k views) so go figure mini/bigsmile

Thanks guys!

Re: YouTube

@Loïc F-B
Well that's unfortunate... what about creating an alternate/second channel?

I have an alternate channel, but I don't want to lose all the views and likes on my copyrighted videos.

Re: YouTube

I'm really not sure how all of that stuff works... I've seen plenty of Partners who have copyrighted material throughout their channel. It just doesn't add up. If you are looking to monetize your videos and that's what YouTube is telling you, I'm not sure there is much of anything you can do

I guess you're right.

Re: YouTube

So, I'm thinking of renaming my channel. I have two options: Troodon's brickfilms, or Lime Brick Studios. Which one should I use?

Re: YouTube

@troodon
well If you want to get Professional and serious you might as well choose Lime brick studios , if not choose Troodon's Brickfilms.

Re: YouTube

wait up, how in the world is it possible to rename your channel? maybe I'm still stuck in 2008.

Like they said, they're still rolling it out. I have it, but I know another BiM member who does now. mini/smile

Question for you folks: Do you think I should change my channel name to Mighty Wanderer? Or keep it MightyWanderer1 for now?

Re: YouTube

If you are considering on changing your channel name, then change it. Personally I like Mighty Wanderer better.

I'm back, not like you guys cared

Re: YouTube

If you have the option of choosing your name without a number, why is there even a question about what to do? Usernames without numbers like that are a lot easier to remember and branding is easier.

Re: YouTube

Great, thanks.

Re: YouTube

"I should know this, but I am stuck. mini/smile Going through the monetezation steps and it says this. You're almost done! Once your AdSense account is activated (this may take up to 48 hours), you will receive an email at **********@frontier.com. You can then start monetizing your videos from the video manager."

How do I activate it?

Re: YouTube

Has it been 48 hours yet?

You might have to click a link to activate it from the e-mail.

Re: YouTube

Here is the thing, I filled out the form to that point a while ago, yet never got an email. I thought I had to click a link to get it to send me the email.

Re: YouTube

Hmm... Have you contacted YT? That might help.

Re: YouTube

Hmmm...all this talk about usernames is making me wonder.  Do you think JonnDthunDer is interesting or easy to remember?  It is basically Johnny Thunder (the old LEGO theme) combined with my initials, JDD.  Would you suggest changing it?
I still need to start monetizing my videos mini/sad but I have a question about it.
Do you get some random sponsor through 3rd party or YT?  Or do you have some choice about what stuff/companies/YouTube users are tied to your account?

Re: YouTube

Any other advice? Should I try and contact YT or am I missing the link I am supposed to click?

Re: YouTube

Well I'm not sure... if you got the e-mail awhile back and never got another, perhaps you should try to go back through the process again. What happens when you go to AdSense or to Monetize a video?
