Re: Halloween Contest

Sorry, but there are too many problems with these contests that you tend to make.

Re: Halloween Contest

Sam, he's probably read that guide at least a thousand times. But, he must learn that you can't have a contest without good prizes.

Lunears, you need to give the entrants a little longer to make their films. That only gives them less than two weeks to enter! mini/no

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Halloween Contest

I would like it submitted on the 31st, but I will take enteries as late as Nov 7th.

You can't assume he has read it before, that thread was actually made after he started his previous contest, so he may not have seen it at all until now.  Some people on here are very quick to criticize others for poorly thought out contests, so I decided to jump in before people "bit his head off" for it.

Like what?

1. No prizes
2. No Judges
3. No real theme to work off of.
4. Have a longer deadline ( Or else you should have started earlier.)
5. If you can, I would add a title, Like one of those big font things.
6. Use more details when describing the submitting.

Fix these and you will have a well structured contest. mini/smile

Re: Halloween Contest

I think that with a broader topic more fims could be made and the preproduction phase could be shorter and easier. Also any one who would like to help judge PM me.

Re: Halloween Contest

Adam, I'm guessing you're young, and low on money. That's okay, I'm 13 and I have less than ten bucks in my wallet. I haven't made any attempts at a contest. If I were you, I'd wait a couple more years, until you have a well-paying job and have raised enough money for sponsors and things like that, okay? mini/wink

Re: Halloween Contest

Hey, you know what? How about a contest with no matirial prizes. I sorry but almost everyone sounds greedy to me.

I'm sorry about my angry reaction. I apologize for that.

Re: Halloween Contest

Why don't you have the mini figure series as prizes from whatever series. They only cost $5 and are cheap to ship because they are so small. It may not be a great prize but is better than none!

Re: Halloween Contest

Good idea!! I don't really have a Lego store near me. Is anyone going to enter?

Well, they might have some at Toys R Us or Target. Also, I might enter. I was hoping to make a Halloween video anyway! mini/smile  But, maybe you should extend the deadline.

Re: Halloween Contest

You should be able to get the mini figure packs at Walmart.

I agree you should make the deadline a little longer.
