Prize update. The Grand prize has been changed and the winner will now receive the Arkham Asylum Escape Lego Super hero's set coming out in 2013.

Actually before you get irritated I did not know where to find the rules and i asked one of the administrators where to post this and I was told to go ahead and put it in releases which i did.
So if I annoyed or irritated anyone else I apologize.

Its okay. But for further reference just look at any contests that were closed

As far as I can figure, Smeagol locked your to prevent people from responding by all piling on you because of the prizes you offered. He never barred anyone from entering, and even wished you luck. This is an entirely different situation.
Shrambo's contest is fine. It even has a prize!
What's more, a thread by Keesret about what he thinks makes a good contest does not count as "rules" or "instructions" that must be followed.
Don't be a jerk, folks. This isn't that complex.

Half true! It's actually meant to guide people in a general direction of what is usually accepted. It was never meant to be perfectly followed. I actually encourage people to vary a bit, otherwise it would get boring now, wouldn't it?

I understand this and wasn't directing that at you, but rather people who referred to your post as "rules" and "instructions." You're a relatively new member, and the staff of this site has never established rules for contests, we just moderate them on a case-by-case basis.

This should be more like video of the year sham. There are much better brickfilmers on here who have produced better stuff then you this year and you think because you had one successful video it warrants you having a contest? Sorry it does not. I will admit Union City was very good and will admit it was one of the better stories done on here. But how long do you plan to ride that success? Move on and try to top that, because so far you have not. I hope others see thru a flashy prize and do not enter this contest. And I have to ask why do you have three different links for this contest? And i disagree with Smeagol, the hostility people have displayed towards you and this sham are warranted.
