Topic: Monitor Issues

My Mac OS X desktop computer's monitor is too dark. Not dim in the sense that it's too dim to the point of not being able to see, but the blacks are blacker to the point of my creating this disaster:

Does it look oddly covered in black smudges at the edges? Yes? You see my problem. If this continues, dark shots in my films will wind up rubbish because I can't gauge the lighting properly.

AND GOOGLE IS NOT HELPING. I DO NOT WANT ANY "LET ME GOOGLE THAT FOR YOU" LINKS. THANK YOU.

So, any ideas? Please help.

Re: Monitor Issues

I don't know if this will help, as you didn't really specify what you've tried, but you might take a look at this or this. Hope that helps!

Re: Monitor Issues

Well, it took some extensive tweaking, but I think it worked. Thanks, Jargon.
