I kinda hope they bring back the banners, or at least the tiny ones that get displayed instead of your name. Also fun little 'secret' , if you look at the standard username the link is blue. If you go to Youtube username the link is black. I think it's a nice subtle difference.

Yeah, the banners are it. Why don't you go ahead and become a partner? There really isn't much to it. I think you have to be active as a partner for 30 days before receiving the stuff like Custom Thumbnails. Or at least it sounded that way on the Creators Blog.

I will turn 18 this October, so I will wait a bit. I may not earn much, but it is more then I am getting now!

IKR. It's so incredibly frustrating. I spend years trying to became a partner, mainly because I want the banners and stuff, and then when I finally do become a partner, those features have been phased out. Come on, YouTube! What the flecknot! Seriously.
