Topic: Greenscreen/Bluescreen in Brickfilms

I'd like to hear some tips by the guys who have pulled it off before. I'm going to give it a shot in a month, that's right I'm going to try to make a brickfilm involving many greenscreen shots. It's just a personal challenge for me of course mini/smile

I already got Hitfilm Ultimate software since Premiere Pro isn't as good as Hitfilm in terms of chroma keying and I'm helpless in After Effects.

So guys, any tips are more than welcome here! And I'm talking about the tips during production (lightning/ when to use blue screen when to use green screen and so on. I'm fully aware of how to do everything in post-production but the production part is what worries me.)

Lighting is essential when it comes to chroma keying. Bad lighting, and everything gets messed up.

I agree with Briks,
also, try to push the blue/green screen as far away as you can from the set, it decreases the chance that the bricks will reflect green/blue.

I usually put a piece of colored paper above my greenscreen to prevent the bricks from reflecting the green. Usually it's light blue paper, and the bricks reflect blue instead of green.

Here's an example of this, though it's not executed that well.

You can see that the railing has a blue reflection rather than a green one.

Sorry for bumping an older thread but StudioL30 could you post a wider shot of where you put the coloured paper above your green screen.

That is a lovely lit shot with no green spill.
