Topic: Going for the Gold!

I am going to be working on the worlds longest brickfilm. I know the current longest is 1 hour 15 minutes and fantasyfilmer is working on recreating the Wizard of Oz which is going to be around an hour and 40 minutes.
I have a story idea but still need some equipment, sets, and minifigures .

Trying to beat the 2 hour mark? Sounds ambitious. What is it about? By your username, I can tell you are a fan of star wars. Personally, I like star wars brickfilms as long as they're not comedic or clones fighting droids.
Also, there is another person on the forums that is currently putting the final touches to a 2 hour one.

Don't worry it won't be a star wars brickfilm. mini/smile
As far as the story goes its a two tale movie that will play one scene with 1 character and another scene about a character.
1.A story about a man with a somewhat odd life of luck and bad luck.
2.(Unnamed) deity who is centuries years old and lives amongst the shadows as many different people.

Re: Going for the Gold!

You should really have the 2 parts connected in someway, otherwise some may argue that it's 2 shorter films put together to create a long one, where as they could still make sense free standing.
Just saying.

Anyhow, good luck. Guinness World Records should so include this as a record once they hit the 2 hour mark. Also, hope you are prepared for the amount of pictures you will need to store on a computer. It's going to be an extremely large file in the end.

No what I meant was Interchanging parts between the two stories that collide into one.

On second thought I am going to try and get a YouTube partnership first so I have that much more funding for this movie. mini/blankexpression

Re: Going for the Gold!

It's not really a good idea to make a brickfilm long just for the sake of making it the longest brickfilm in history. Lots of people have attempted to do this already but none of the projects ever get finished. I'd suggest that you start out small. Make some good short films first. A long brickfilm needs a lot of dedication and work. It also has to be interesting enough for people to keep watching. Short films will teach you how to achieve these things.

By the way, the longest brickfilm is something like three hours long. As far as I know it was never available online. The guy who made it only put it out on DVD.
