Well here is what I have so far.
Still needs some work, but I hope to be done in a bit.

However, I'd prefer that the logo stay almost accurate to the one from the set for consistency.
The problem with the logo provided by the set is that it doesn't look like anything. So I re imagined it as a cat's eye and used that instead, Notion meaning opinion or belief. unless the shot of the vehicle is head on with the logo, it shouldn't be noticable. But if you want to, I can change it.
EDIT: I'm now finished. Critique?

I think I liked MD's more. The font at the top looks rather odd.

MouseDroid's is definitely my favorite. There are a lot of good designs, though, so that's not a putdown directed at anyone else. The color scheme is great and it fits really well with the frame. The shapes and text are done quite nicely as well.
Jan's looks the most realistic as far as the real world goes. If the logo was added to the bottom left or somewhere towards the top it would be better. However if you want something not as realistic and more stylized, MD's is probably best.
So better? I add the logo!!

I'd love to help out, if you still need it. I can make the graphics look like that official LEGO TV reporter design.
I've done a news effect on a live action film using footage from Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, making it look like Senator Amidala was on C-SPAN. you can see that part at the video:

You can see the transition from actual C-SPAN footage at about 50 seconds in.
I made this video almost 4 years ago, and I think it was the first time I've done something like this on a non-animated video. I've improved a lot since then with experience, but you can still see how I've made it look like the official C-SPAN graphics.
