I'd say the first one looks better, though the logo would look better in the upper right, and the live in the upper left.
I really need a name for the reporter...
Anyone know of a name of an actual reporter character from Batman?
In Batman: The Animated Series, Summer Gleeson was a reporter, but I'm afraid that's a girl's name.
In the 1960's Batman movie, Mr. Stanley is a reporter from the Globe, and Mr. Merrick from the Gotham City Times. From the look of the reporter, I'd go with Mr. Stanley, but it's all up to you.

EDIT:
I have 2. The last one with a slightly change. Text is fully changeable, in the psd file. It has reporters name, case, live, channel logo, and a still image of your Batman. Hope you like it.

I'd go with Mr. Stanley, but it's all up to you.
If he doesn't have a first name an you want to give him one, you can call him Brandon Stanley (after StanTheLegoMan, whose real name is Stanley Brandon).
Also just to clarify, Stephen Moffet is a fictional character I created, and I would rather you use a different name.

Jack Ryder looks just about perfect for you. But there's also Mike Engel, and here's more DC reporter-type people listed under the category "Reporters". (Most are Super-man related though.)
Another option would simply be naming him after his voice actor....

@LC: The bottom seems a bit odd, and the logo is somewhat off.
I remembered this website with stock lower thirds for like news and stuff. I think it's free & public domain.

what color scheme? and, if you do want, I can make it more like a motion text thingy, so it looks less static.

Whoops... I started making an overlay before checking the date of this thread... But I decided to finish anyways. If you've already chosen someone else's, do you think you can give me some feedback?
Upon reading your description, I wasn't sure if there were two different reports (one for the initial escape of King Tut, and one for and update about Batman trying to capture King Tut) so I made 3 variations. The last one is sort of a mix between the two.

If i was ANP then I'd go with Mousedroid's, I like it because it seems less cluttered then some of the others.

Yeah, in this case I think something more simple would be better. I think for the "batman trails runaway pharaoh" line, some lowercase should be used instead of all caps. So instead of "BATMAN TRAILS RUNAWAY PHARAOH" it would read, "Batman trails runaway pharaoh". But the caps works well for the header. I really like MouseDroid's though. Best yet I think.
I might give it a go if you don't mind actually. My only problem with Mouse's is the transparencies aren't noticeable and the outlines are too thick.
People can still give it a try, if I find something better, I'd love that.
I've also decided to give a whack at it myself:
I made this a few weeks ago. I was going to post it, but then I got crazy busy making Sharks and Clowns.
I'm not completely happy with it, but I really like how the accuracy of the logo turned out.
