Re: YouTube

Oh, I know what Fullscreen is, I just didn't think they would partner somebody with only 20k views and 39 subscribers.

Edit: I figured out why they partnered him. His viewer-subscriber ratio. I have about the same amount of views as him but more subscribers. It's kinda weird but whatever.

Re: YouTube

That kid that LASF bought up has a video called "Lego Superman" (just go to his channel and find the video, I'm too lazy to post the link). Now, I'm not defending Forrestfire101 or anything, and I'm not trying to "re-spark" the "flame game" again, but the Superman minifigure on his thumbnail looks exactly like Forrest's. I then posted a comment on his video.

Me: "Hey, that thumbnail isn't yours."

TheCrackedApple: "Then, who's is it? I made it myself. Did you make it?"

Me: "It looks like ForrestFire101's."

TheCrackedApple: "Forrest has a gradient for the background. He has the characters directly facing the camera. You must be a ****** if you can't tell the difference between the two. Why don't you ask your 42 subscribers and no partnership if they can see the changes between them?"

I blocked the user, not because he's a big n00b and he makes LEGO videos about Kony 2012, but because he insulted me and he knows he stole the artwork from Forrest. And, I'm not the only one he insulted either...

ju ka: "This is ****."

TheCrackedApple: "You're not the one with the PartnerShip, are you?"

He obviously didn't make it because it's not the minifigure he used in the video, as well. mini/lol

Re: YouTube

Uh, don't let me interrupt the fun, but I don't see any evidence that he didn't make the thumbnail. At the very least, FF doesn't seem to have any similar thumbnails at present. TCA's (somewhat amusingly) cocky response isn't justified, but do we really need to go around accusing people of stealing... thumbnails?

Re: YouTube

accusing anyone about anything on youtube is pretty much pointless.

Re: YouTube

Can someone explain to me how to get partnered through other partership programs? Do they give the same benefits as the main program, and would I stand any chance at getting accepted?

What I meant to say was that the minifigure looked like his. But, I apologized about two hours ago, so let's stop before anyone else takes your side. mini/blankexpression

Those programs usually have a website (You should be able to find it through Google) where you can get information on how to apply.

I think that the next time I'm in an argument about anything, I'll simply respond to the person, "You're not the one with the PartnerShip, are you?" Then I'll don my captain's hat and sail off into the sunset feeling smug and satisfied.

Re: YouTube

What I don't get is why people care so much about how big they are on YouTube and how many subscribers that have. Is it because that's how you can get a partnership? Or is it more of a status thing?
Personally, I write and make videos for myself, what I want to see, and that's why I've just recently started actually putting stuff on the Internet. I have friends absolutely obsessed with the amount of subscribers they have and are doing sub for subs all the time, but I just don't see what the point is. What am I missing here?

Re: YouTube

sub 4 sub is pointless because they won't actually watch your videos so you won't get anymore views.

Re: YouTube

Look, TheCrackedApple isn't something to get worked up about.

I have absolutely no idea why Fullscreen.net would want that sort of thing associated with their name, but I can assure you that they're not paying him enough to do anything with.

In order to make a living on YouTube, you need about 1 million views per video per month. His most recent video has 42 views, and it was published a month ago.

Let's not make this a big deal, folks.

I like getting some recognition for sure, but for me the main thing is having an audience for my films. I like getting feedback, and knowing that people like my work enough to click the sub button. Also, if I begin to lose subs I know to start uploading again. mini/smile

Also, is there a difference between the official youtube partnership program, and the others?

Re: YouTube

To add to all of this, people 'steal' from Forrest all the time. Have any of you run across a YouTuber who makes Star Wars/Superhero Brickfilms by the name of 'ForrestFire1000'? (I have.) It's a thumbnail. If someone had used a YT downloader to post his film on their channel, then we'd have a problem. A thumbnail, however, is a minor irrelevancy.

On the topic of arrogant, rude, ignorant trolls on YouTube, I'd like to refer you all to the following quote I read in a comment.

Re: YouTube

This is probably not very significant, but I just gained like 7 subs in the last few days... I think it might be my new video? I don't know. mini/smile

I saw that comment on one of SpastikChuwawa's SFM videos.

and it never got taken down by youtube, i would of gotten a strike right now but youtube is just too lazy to take it down. mini/rolleyes

Re: YouTube

Rather annoyed with youtube right now. Somehow my upload was gotten out of, but because I was using Chrome it "saved" half of it and I continued uploading. I set it on unlisted so I could make it live this afternoon, and in case I needed to change the description and add annotations. For some reason, youtube not only made it live, but it did so without my description, title, and without ANY thumbnail options... Trying to upload it again.
