Re: YouTube

I made it with adobe dream weaver, I made a page template, with an editable spot in the middle(for the text) then every page I made, would add the links on the template, and it would update.....

Re: YouTube

I mean how did you get the website on the internet? (I forgot the term for it).

Re: YouTube

my dad is in to 'it' and he's got hosting and all,
I have to by the domain name though...

Re: YouTube

I am getting a bit discouraged about youtube. I uploaded a new film, and I began to slowly inch up in subs. Just lost more today. I'm not getting anywhere! Does anyone have any tips for retaining subscribers?

Re: YouTube

I don't think it's about constantly making videos, as much as releasing both brickfilms and live-action (for you). To gain subscribers, constantly make videos; to keep subscribers, make sure you don't release only live-action films without mention of a brickfilm. I know I've unsubscribed sometimes when it's seemed like the YouTuber wasn't making brickfilms anymore. So either release a variety of videos, or at least in the credits make reference to brickfilming.

kcirb-- its brick backwards.

Re: YouTube

Just noticed 2 changes to YouTube:
On the home page, the thumbnails are bigger, and if you watched a video from the home page, the thumbnail turns pale and it says "WATCHED".
The second thing is this:
Today, I tried watching a video that was linked on another forum, and when I read that the creator has terminated his/her YouTube account. However, instead of having a blank background when it says that, it now shows static instead. Interesting...

Hm... That's what Vimeo does, too, I believe.

Re: YouTube

I have a confusion mini/confused . I heard that to have your name in the Youtube search bar you need 100 subscribers and 10,000 total views. Well I have this and I still don't have my name in the search.

If anyone knows why this is, please tell me so.
Thank you!

Re: YouTube

I don't think it has anything to do with your subscribers and views, its about how often people actually search for your username, if it gets enough hits, I think it will get added to the list. Similar to how google works, the more popular terms/searches will be in the list as youre searching

Re: YouTube

I think it's in way u type it in the search bar. You spell co0lwill differently.

Re: YouTube

But the weird thing is that it used to be in the search bar but not now.

I think you are right, I will try and get my next brickfilm up ASAP.

Re: YouTube

I'm turning 18 in les than a month (and yes, I know this ain't the Cafe Corner),
which makes it possible to be a youtube partner. With more than 1 million views in total (1127781 to be precise), I think I can get through! mini/bigsmile

Re: YouTube

I'd check into the Partner Program and update yourself on what it is now. It's changed a lot. You don't have to have a lot of views to get in. In fact, I could have 5 views and I could get in as long as I had one video monetized.

Re: YouTube

Wow. 39 subscribers and partnered.

Re: YouTube

What? I only have 41! And that guy's not even very good, either. mini/madhead

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

And you have 280k total views, he has 20k.

Re: YouTube

He appears to be partnered with Full Screen, a Partner Network. It seems to me that some of the lesser known partner networks are accepting more lesser known channels into their repertoire of content, for what I think is just for the purpose of getting themselves more well known, since it's not like you're gonna get rich with only 200 views per video.

And I wouldn't get to mad about it. I probably make more money a month from doing chores then he is making videos.

In my opinion he should have waited until he grew his channel more before partnering himself. It probably wuld have saved him a lot of hassle, since now his inbox is going to be full with nothing but "lk, Dude, how did u get partnered with, lk, 40 subs, Dude." questions. mini/smile
