Topic: Outdoor Scenes

I'm currently working on a film that is all outdoor shots. I am trying to get a good sun effect, but you can easily see the reflection of two lamps.

I have watched Zoot's tutorial, so don't give me that.

Here's an image:http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/3/img0814ir.jpg/ (why won't it show?)

Well, I can't figure out how to post an image, so here's a link:

Re: Outdoor Scenes

Well if you're just gonna rule out every option like that, then I can't help you. mini/blankexpression

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Outdoor Scenes

Put some kind of paper over your lamps; also, move them a lot farther away from your set, both vertically and horizontally. In addition, you'd generally have one light be more of a background light, and one be a foreground; in this instance, have one lamp lighting the house, and the other lighting the area in front of the house. But the problem you're currently having is that the light shining on your set is too hard, so to get rid of that you need to move your lamps away and find some way of diffusing the light somehow. If you can't put paper over your lamps, then just turn them away from the set and let the light bounce off walls to get onto the set.

Re: Outdoor Scenes

Thank you! And Mickey, I don't appreciate when people are rude like that.

Re: Outdoor Scenes

a piece of blue construction paper could act as a nice backdrop.
although im not sure how it would affect lighting and such.

Re: Outdoor Scenes

Try adding more light, then adjusting your camera settings so it won't be as bright.

Also, put your backdrop farther away from the camera, use green plates instead of grey, and stick a whole bunch of leaf pieces on it to make it look more like a forest.

Here's your image:

(If you're wondering how I did that; I went to "Embed this Image", copied what's in the "forum" box, and trimmed it down to the text in the image tags.)

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.
