So I had a set of messed up DVDs, and wondered if one might be able to do some interesting lighting effects by shining a torch at it and reflecting it back onto the set.
Here are some pictures I took to experiment:
It might be useful in making effects for wizards, strange ray guns, or other things about 20% cooler.
OoooOOoooh. Nice.
That effect would go with anything goofily surreal; especially with things involving rainbows.
I might end up using this in something.

there are a few problems with this, though, such as the huge white spot that is also reflected off of the disc, and the very small area you have with this, so I can only light tiny spots with this for closer shots.
I'll also have to design something special to suspend the disc properly above the torch (I held it in these pictures).
But I'd love to do things with this sometime.
