Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Snow White and the Huntsman
Don't see it. Although the VFX were pretty good and most of the acting was decent, that's were it stops. The story was done very poorly; a lot of stuff just popped up and was never explained. There were eight dwarfs. Snow White thinks she's in love with two different men; just like twilight, and it's the same actress mini/twitch (proud I don't know here name). The action was filmed terribly, with a ridiculously shaky camera to the point you couldn't tell what was going on; and there just wasn't enough action. The cinematography was all around sort of weird, at some times painfully corny. I was disappointed that such a good idea for a movie could be executed so poorly. mini/sad

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Kung Fu Panda
It was okay. The humor was clean, which is surprising for Jack Black. Actually it was pretty funny in some parts. The animation was great, and the storyline was okay. The martial arts scenes were pretty cool, but that's about the extent.

Kung Fu Panda 2
I like how this sequel goes deeper into Po's life, and this had some pretty funny jokes.

Cars 2
Love this. Just as good, probably better than the first one in my opinion. I really like how the "spy" theme was put into the Cars world - it added a great touch. The plot was great, and it was shaped so it was mysterious, intriguing, and funny at the same time. I'm definitely watching this one again.

It was him.

Fantastic Voyage (1960s)
It was pretty good. The whole theme of shrinking people was pretty cool, and the effect they used was pretty ingenious. And the hijacker was a good plot twister.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
I love political movies. This one was great, especially since it was based on the views this country was founded on. Great movie, another worthy of a re-watch.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

I have never been able to understand why so many people hate this movie. I consider all Star Wars movies nearly equal in greatness (except for V, which his slightly better than the rest), and they are all my most favorite of movies (along with Lord of the Rings). It has a delightful story, fun characters, epic fight scenes, cool sets, and amazing effects. Jar Jar is a pretty funny guy, actually.

Swept Away (It. title: Travolti da un insolito destino nell'azzurro mare d'agosto)
I don't even want to know what's like the version with Madonna and Giannini's son, I just know this movie was brilliant, and has some of the best interpretation I've ever seen.
I haven't seen many movies with Giannini, but for what I've seen, I can tell he's definitely capable of anything. And Mariangela Melato it's just incredible.
So, the acting alone makes the film amazing (doesn't mean the rest of the movie isn't worthy, on the contrary...). 5/5
I'm planning to see "Mimi Metallurgico ferito nell'onore" next: same actors, same director (Lina Wertmuller).

The Aviator

Good film, but pretty strange.

Fair Game

Absolutely amazing.
It was like the Bourne identity, but real.

Indie Game: The Movie
After a somewhat long download on iTunes, I find my money was well spent. This film is incredible and very inspirational.

Men in Black 3
It was awesome! mini/delirium

Seriously, they could have just made two, left out the second one, and replaced it with this.

Meh.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Chup Chup Ke
This was the most confusing movie I have ever seen. Probably because all the Hindi/Gujarati jokes were completely lost when they translated it to English and I don't speak either of those languages.
It was a fun movie though. It kind of went like this:
1) Random stuff
2) Three stooges style humor
3) Boring stuff
4) Singing and dancing
5) Cheese

People always seem to either absolutely love it or absolutely hate it.

I didn't absolutely hate it, but I didn't absolutely love it either... mini/bigsmile

Aha, I was wondering if anyone else had watched it yet. I really enjoyed the film and thought it was very engaging, but I would have liked a larger variety of subjects. I feel like the only real deviation from the "20-30 something oddball in a pressure situation" was Jonathan Blow, who got next to no screen time. Also, Phil Fish is kind of frightening. That said, definitely worth the money and well filmed all-around. I'm interested to see if they do well enough (or are interested in pursuing) a sequel focusing on different creators.

Then either my thinking is flawed or you're just weird. mini/tongue

Thor
Wow, I liked this one. Glad netflix got it. mini/smile
The only thing I didn't really like is for some reason it felt like the movie was moving very fast. There wasn't much story of who he was. I know a bit, but it seemed like a movie for those who read the original comics if ya know what I mean.
I enjoyed this greatly. 4.7/5

Captain America
Second time seeing this and I have to say it's one of my favorite movies. It truly is.
The whole character development and the sentimental bits of the movie made it great. The cinematography was well done too. They ending was amazing,

Spoiler (click to read)

I mean you don't see many movies where the character has a loss but still lives. They either die, or they live "happily ever after" which didn't suit this movie. The first time I saw this I totally didn't expect the ending. Plus the old granny in there with the tommy gun gave me a laugh. mini/XD

Favorite movie. 10/10

I like how Stan Lee is in all of the movies.

Chronicle (2012)

A sci-fi fan's wildest dream. This is no doubt a great achievement in the world of cinema. Director Josh Trank and screenwriter Max Landis really pushed the boundaries of VFX. This is quite a ride.

I liked the quirky filming style with the interviews and all. GREAT acting as well. I enjoyed this film!

Rope
THIS WAS AWESOME (btw this was the first Hitchcock film I'd seen)

The Secret World of Arrietty
It would have been perfect if Disney didn't ruin it with their crappy voice acting and that annoying song at the end. I am going to watch the Japanesed version next time, tank you very much (PS: This is better than the Avengers.)

North By Northwest
ALSO AWESOME

Thor
I had forgotten how stupid this film was. But then again, it's superheroes, and I wouldn't want to watch it any other way. Serious superheroes are seriously over-rated.
