Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

I'm having trouble figuring out how to put an image in my signature, can someone explain that to me?

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

you use the ]img[ tag in your signiture. the brackets are backwards.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

Okay, but does the image have to come from somewhere on the internet, or can you upload it from your computer, and if so, how?

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

It does need to be posted to an image-sharing site, such as Brickshelf, Flickr, Imgur, or the host of other options available.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

Okay, got it, I'll try that at some point, thanks Jargon.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

I uploaded the image to Flickr, but as you can see it's not working. I don't know what to do, can someone please help?

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

A better site to use is quick and easy, called imgur.com.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

The problem is that you're linking to the image page, not the actual image itself. Make sure what you're linking to ends in something like .jpg or .png. Flickr also has a copy/paste BBcode link for forums like this. Check under your sharing options to find it.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

Thank you Jargon, totally got it. mini/bigsmile

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

Yep, and another way would by to right-click and select 'copy image url'.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

You can't do that on Flickr. They have a custom right-click menu. Glad to hear you got it figured out, BL.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

:How do you post in the "Contests and Festivals forum? Please respond. mini/sad

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

Post a contest thread? Or just a normal post?
Only mods can post threads in there, too many contests were poorly organized, and not really thought through. So to cut down on that, only the best ones are moved over.

You should be able to do normal posting though.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

Oh Okay. That clears things up. So inn other words there is no way I can post a topic there?

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

You post your contest in General Film Discussion and if it looks well-run we'll move it to the Contests forum. It's best not to run a contest while another is already running (namely: Kitchen Sink) as you may lose a lot of participants, but it's up to you.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Bricks In Motion

Feel free to PM a mod for feedback about your contest. It may increase your chances of getting your contest featured in the Contests and Festivals forum.
