For my Kitchen Sink entry I need a gunshot effect (It's not violent, you'll see in the end). So, just planning ahead of time, is there anybody who can make one? Thanks.
EDIT: Whoops, meant to click on Post-Production. Can a mod move this?
EDIT EDIT: I also need an explosion.

I might be able to do it. Just let me know if your okay with free detonation films footage.
I might be able to do it as I own a gun, but there is also partnersinrhyme.com which has lots of gun effects.

No. I'm not sure 100% what LASF is asking, but If its actually making the explosion, at least in its original purpose, its not DB2. I'll (hope to) have Action Essentials 2 or NCcinemas gun pack or something like that by then.
Gunshot effects can be made very easily in Blender. Explosions can also be made in Blender, but they're harder to do.
I can do both.
I have Adobe After Effects, Premiere and Action Essentials 2.

It's even more easily done in GIMP. Basically, just the same as here: Buxton's Muzzle Flare Tutorial.
Maybe we should each post a demo reel?
