Re: 100 of the best brickfilmers you need to know about
Well, to be fair, that's what this site is for. If you're posting your films here to begin with, you need to be prepared for (and should desire) constructive criticism.

Completely true, but I'm sure that some of the younger members might not have joined for this reason nor knew what one of the true reasons for this site were. However, if they didn't take notice of this when they signed up, who's to say they would take notice of it now? That's life I suppose.
EDIT: After looking at the "Top 1000 Films" thread I noticed something that Pillow said that may make this thread work and be useful at the same time.
-The first post doesn't really say "this is the best movie of all time",
it's really just supposed to be a bunch of awesome movie in one list, which can be very handy, and interesting
(so, that's why this is a good thread, before anyone starts complaining).
This thread could merely be a collective list of Brickfilmers who people agree to be talented or "good" filmers. It could serve as a jumping point to find and explore new work. If I want to watch some cool Brickfilms that I have never seen before, I come on this thread, find a Brickfilmer I haven't checked out before, and then watch some of their animations. I think it could be quite useful personally.

Exactly. I don't know about anyone else, but I have discovered quite a few awesome brickfilms I didn't know of before through that "Top 1000 brickfilms" thread. I think that a thread such as this could also be useful, though in a more non-comparative style. Changes such as using bullet points instead of numbers, etc, may help to reduce the friction? I don't know, just giving my thoughts.

I know who's on the top of the list... and so do u!
How about a thread without a number in the title? How about a thread where you take a scene from a brickfilm, and have people comment about it, pointing out what it did right, perhaps throwing out ways it could have been better, etc. That would be much more helpful than a "Top 100" list.
Ummm, couldn't we just use the "WIPs and Tests" forum for that? ![]()
I think the problem is that most people here really knows how to analyze and critique animation/lighting/story, etc. in a way that is beneficial to the person being critiqued.
But my point was that you could be doing much more productive things than creating lists of the most awesome brickfilms/brickfilmers.
JUST KIDDEN ANIM8ION
is the best
ponybrickfilmer!
are you crazy or something?? He's terrible
what's your problem anyway
Also I agree with everyone who thinks this thread is stupid and there needs to be something different than this and whatever
I agree with Just Kidden here, I sense this thread will be filled with people requesting to be added to the list. Nip it in the bud, anyone?
If you don't like the thread, feel free to avoid it by not clicking upon it. It's not my favorite thread, it's not particularly meaningful discussion, but it's within the parameters of this forum, so it stays open for now.

I though it was pretty obvious that I was joking
a topic about the most overrated brickfilmers is quite silly.

Don't tell me...FF101?
Yay you got it! ![]()
Agreed. He is really good at giving quality brickfilms now.
We're talking about being OVERRATED not being a bad brickfilmer. I'm sorry but with FF101's popularity he should be making brickfilms as epic as Patrick Boivin (his stop motion videos are amazing).... I'm not saying FF101 is a bad brickfilmer, he is certainly much better than most of the others.
