Topic: IPEVO Point 2 View USB Webcam?

I currently have a 2008 Panasonic SDR-H280, but it is quite bulky, does not support HD capturing, and has a 3.1 mega pixel camera. *dreams of the Sony XR-550V Handycam, ahhhhhhhh*

But back in the real, affordable world, I would really like something that is easy to maneuver, and can shoot HD. Since I use a Mac, there isn't a wide variety of webcams availiable (thanks Logitech, with your Windows biased products) with all the manual settings. Then I stumbled upon the IPEVO Point 2 Shoot USB Document camera. I was just wondering if there is anybody out there on this forum that uses this webcam, and if so, is it a worthwhile investment, or is there a better alternative? Note: I am aware that the Point 2 Shoot has a bigger 'brother,' the Ziggi. Can you please help?

Re: IPEVO Point 2 View USB Webcam?

Well, from what I have seen it looks like a good overall webcam, although I haven't been able to find out if it has manual light settings, which are a necessity for brickfilming.

Thank you for your reply Mighty Wanderer, I heard that IPEVO was going to update the software, so you could lock those settings. The pricier Ziggi seems to shoot in HD, but I don't know much about it's settings either!
