Topic: Portal Effect

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I was fiddling around with some lamps to get the right lighting, I came up with something I liked and took a picture, then I started messing around in GIMP and came up with this simple Portal effect technique.

Looks awesome!
I love the set, however, the perspective is a little off.
Shouldn't you see Chell's back through a portal that is right behind her?

Well we actually don't know where the blue portal is, so the perspective is largely irrelevant at this point.
I actually quite like the look of that portal, Cookie. I'd suggest making the portal taller. Look at the picture ZP posted to get an idea of the dimensions.

It looks cool, but to look even better, you should try making the outline of the portal not so sharp.  It should look like it's blending into the wall, right?
