When it's unlisted only those with the link can watch it. Your subs shouldn't be notified, When it's made public your subs should be notified...

As much as I remember if you make it public after some time it won't work like that and your subscribers won't be notified that it's a "new" video. That's the way it was back in 2011 I'm not sure if youtube changed that.

Ah... well that explains why my newest video that I uploaded a few months ago only has only 39 views.
(and I even have like 200 subs!)
Urg, that's furstrating. I feel so forever alone when I'm on Youtube.

EDIT: Now I only have 199 subscribers... I used to have 214 gosh I'm getting depressed... Time to retreat back into deviantart where people actually like me...
